I had high hopes for this one after chapter 1 but sadly it didn’t work for me. After the start it became too much about sex and relationships and not enough about the main story (I also would have said no to the Queen and definitely no to the secret relationship with the princess.I actually would have been kind of mad about the request. ) Anyway looks like it has a decent following, good luck with it.

A bunch of words for the insane take on - the dead end, literally - situation we find the main character in this story:
John Snow.
To summarise the plot: a bastard in a reputable family ... would ... REFUSE THE BETROTHAL DECIDED BY HIS QUEEN AND REFUSE THE QUEEN HERSELF ... in a world where THE SAME QUEEN DOES UNSPEAKABLE TORTURE TO MALE ENEMY PRISONERS ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Clearly, such criticisms have not gone through Chief of War or Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon: a clear official bastard is nothing to the Queen or the Princess - they could snuff him just like that for denying the Queen. In war torn monarchies, compliance is absolute—the poor protagonist is effectively afraid of the sadistic torture prowess of the queen, while also adoring her for being the tough but righteus rules to their people. The guards were ready to behead the protagonist right at the palace gate the first time they saw him ... that kind of ominous welcome is enough to instill devout compliance into any young human being.

Um ... definitely not. This is nowhere near Game of Thrones level and 24 hours after they throw him in prison, everyone in the castle adores him. I don't think your adoptive mother is going to kill you for not having sex with her. As for the Princess, I like her, would absolutely be with her - but not if she wants to keep it secret. So I'll do as she asks and go find someone else - but it would be instead of her, not in addition to. She already had 3 years of hiding and pretending, now she can step up or sit down.

The forced relationships are always an understandable point of contention that I can't argue against; Sadly, I felt that it needed to be done for my own sanity. I realized early on that I was already giving myself far too much work with all the branching scenes for story styles, weapons, and spell choices, so I decided it would be 10x easier to at least simplify that one aspect of the main storyline.

As for the too much sex and not enough story: I have no defense! I admit, I love crafting some nice adult content, and I had to populate my story with characters, so why not have fun along the way? Could some of them have been non-romanceable characters to save time for arguably more important things? Probably... But I just can't help myself sometimes.

Although, in my defense, the current content is finally starting to dig back into the heart of the story, and there are a lot of juicy pieces of lore and story buried along the way. Either way, thanks for checking out the game and leaving an honest but fair review. Respect!

First time playing the game, I admit I have really gotten into the game, When the 5th chapter suddenly ended, I'm like what Seriously, Then I remembered it's only a part of a chapter, I'm so looking forward to the next update also kind of hoping the next one is very Soon,

Prevailing theory is that the mystery woman we see when the MC blows of that magic surge is his mother.
