If you grab the torrent for HS2 DX BetterRepack 3.1, there will be 2 zip archives in that torrent. The smaller one (about 30Gb) is the main game, and has everything you need to play. The larger file (about 50Gb or so) is all mods that are specific to studio neo. The larger file isn't required, you can even run studio without it but without all those extra mods. So unless you're already a studio user and you're upgrading, just get the small (if you can call 30Gb "small") file and unzip it in a fairly short path that's not under \Program Files. Then run initsetting.exe to set up registry and such, and you're good.

Just downloaded HS2DX, and whenever I try to load a character in, the game immediately stops working and crashes; going into play, character creator, even with trying to have a character in the main menu screen. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? Never happened with AI Shoujo and that ran like shit on my aging computer, just this game.

Hi ! I'm having some illogical trouble with performance.
I used to play this on a laptop with a 1050ti and had around 35-45 fps on the 2nd setting, +50 with map turned off.

I now have a desktop 2070super and an i7 10700, and no matter what setting it's locked at 30fps.
Checked the graphic options if somewhere there was a frame limiter, nope nothing.

I can get 100fps in Cyberfunk but 30 in HS2...cries.

It could be a graphics mod causing this, make sure none are on, which they should not be if you didn't turn them on.

Open material editor and change the shader. Try AIT/Clothes Alpha and AIT/Clothes Alpha True for starters, but the pantyhose and iridescent shaders might look good, and there's always the slime shader

It's more built up frustration over that people can't read the most basic instructions. It gets frustrating the 836'th time
