I have a slightly beefier setup and thought I'd check FPS out of curiosity. Getting a solid 40 on the most complex maps with literally everything turned on.illusion should stop using unity already, it's not a good engine to begin with and the more they make game with this the worse their game become. first is ai shoujou and now hs 2
i mean, i7 7700 and a bloody gtx 1660 with 16gb ram and both games cannot get to 60fps, i literally have to turn off all the efx, lightning and map to get to 60 fps.
The FAQ in the OP certainly canI wonder what is the different between the R2 Base Game Repack and the Optional Sideloader Modpack ??. Can anyboby explain it ??
HS1 with LRE and IBL is still miles ahead of this. Having higher resolution texture maps and more polys doesnt make the overall graphics better my guyfactually false, model topology and textures are miles better than hs1, without or without mods.
having infinate different looking woman from 1000s of morphs from a base model helps a great deal toHS1 with LRE and IBL is still miles ahead of this. Having higher resolution texture maps and more polys doesnt make the overall graphics better my guy
Quoting graphical overhaul and 4k resolution mods from a game that's had literally years of modding doesn't make the overall claim that "HS1 has better graphics" any less open for debate, either though. Well sure, then lets discuss the base game. Their own engine they used for HS1 was nothing special but allowed LRE to be implemented. Now they switched to a unity based engine and managed to "optimize" it so badly it takes as much resources as modern triple a titles. Sure they upped the resolution of their texture maps and increased poly count, but since the vast majority wont be able to play the game higher than full hd (thanks to a hilariously bad resource managment) if they want more than 30-40 fps, i wouldnt call this game an overall improvement in any regard.Quoting graphical overhaul and 4k resolution mods from a game that's had literally years of modding doesn't make the overall claim that "HS1 has better graphics" any less open for debate, either though. Quibbling about what game has better graphics mods, when one of the contenders has been out roughly four weeks and the other four years, is a pretty pointless discussion.
Some fair points there, AIS ran like absolute dogshit on my machine but the reasons for that game's issues have already been pretty well-covered elsewhere.Well sure, then lets discuss the base game. Seeding for four days was more than enough thanks. This torrent really needs more seed.
This has LRE and IBL so your fancy bullsh!+ theory craft is exactly that, theory craft.HS1 with LRE and IBL is still miles ahead of this. Having higher resolution texture maps and more polys doesnt make the overall graphics better my guy
I am probably spoiled by playing most of my games at 100+ fps too. Its just that the problems HS2 currently has are absolutly not necessary. If they dedicated more people towards resource management/optimization and fixing their Global Illumination (because whats tanking the fps is not the big textures, its the lighting system) this game would be way more enjoyable. Some fair points there, AIS ran like absolute dogshit on my machine but the reasons for that game's issues have already been pretty well-covered elsewhere.
I get a solid 40 in HS2 in the most complex maps and H-scenes with every currently available graphical tweak turned on, I get that's problematic for some, but when there's dozens of current-gen "AAA" titles literally locked at 30fps, I'm not so fussed about losing frames in a porn simulator.
I certainly won't be streaming it and having a higher framerate than the next guy isn't giving me any sort of advantage.
I don't know what Illusion are like for patches after release (if at all?), possibly there'll be fixes further down the road either from them, or a REALLY dedicated modder.
Yes, HS2 is a surprisingly heavy load, but so far, every reported performance issue that's actually impacted how the game runs for me (and a lot of people over the last few weeks) has come from mods in the previous repacks, not the game, and those issues have already been patched out.
And as for the "majority" of people not being able to run the game, I see plenty of people across a few forums and Discords I'm in asking whether their dust-filled, ten year-old potato can run this. They probably won't, but that's PC gaming, folks!
You either die a 640x480 potato peasant, or live long enough to become a 4k 60fps snob arguing over which game about dressing-up dollies looks prettier
I had no idea it was the lighting causing the resource-hogging and that's pretty much all I play with. I can't be certain, but I think the DHH Mod in the R2 repack overrides most of the native lighting. Even disabling the mod in-game still nerfs most of the filter and lighting controls.I am probably spoiled by playing most of my games at 100+ fps too. But as someone mentioned, Illusion mainly hires college students who are looking for an entry into the development career, so i should probably cut them some slack.
Anyway. If i cannot snob about porn games anymore, life has no meaning.
