Due to the need to patch BepInEx 5.3 plugins to BepInEx 5.4 format, as well as initial caching of zipmods, initial/first launch will take longer than usual. This is a one time thing, until plugins are updated for the new format and zipmods are cached.
From this release onward, the optional modpack for Studio is no longer bundled with the main repack. If you want that, you may find it on my download site treated as its own repack.
If you have trouble starting the game, start the game once through the launcher (InitSetting.exe), this will check for errors and fix them as well before starting the game.
You can update the sideloader modpack (clothing mods etc) from the launcher. Just press the icon in the lower left corner of the launcher with the arrow to check for updates. I'm updating that more often than the main pack, so should get some updates there every so often

More or less, these are the options:
1. Just run the installer, and it'll guide you through the updating process.
2. Download the full pack, extract it to a separate location, then copy your old UserData folder to the new install.
I am a complete noob, but I want to create my own characters. I don't want to play the game. So, what should I download?

Unfortunately for your case, the character creator is packaged with the main game, so even if you want to only use the character creator, you'll still need to DL the main game. Luckily, you can access the character creator from the main menu without ever entering the main game's storyline itself. You can do that from the first post. Additionally, if you want a ton of mods that will make creating your characters that much more enjoyable, including outfits and textures, then you're probably going to want download whatever the latest version of the Better Repack is, link

(third option from the top). If you want to go in after the fact and delete all of the studio mods, you're free to do so, those won't be required for character creation (though if you ever want to dabble in creating scenarios for your created characters, you might just be interested in studio).

Wasn't having this issue beforehand but when I am editing characters, after the first few, when I try to switch to another, the game freezes up and just stays there. Any help would be appreciated. ty. I haven't altered the build except for adding hanmen textures and its bipenex to the modlist which did not overwrite anything else. Edit: Trying a fresh install to see if it clears up the issue, I'm quite certain it may be that the 8k/4k textures may be too much. The game doesnto ctd, it just freezes there with the music playing.

You're not alone in this, my game will freeze and then crash if I swap characters (or outfits) enough times. I'm not brave enough to try a fresh install, I just make sure to save progress frequently.

The mods claimed that someone was distributing CP.
So instead of simply banning the individuals involved, they nuked the whole thread. A punishment for the 99.999% of uninvolved people.
