I'm thinking of downloading this game. Do you recommend it? If so, could you give me some advice or tell me what the main plot is about? To be honest, I didn't really understand the synopsis and recommendations.

There is no "plot", the gameplay is you pick a girl and sex, thats it, people play this game because they want to use the character maker and the studio come with it to make pretty scenes, pictures, and some basic animations with the help of plugins, mods, but most player just want to download characters, clothes mods they want to make their own fantasy harem ))

Installed R16 and ran the KK updater. When I open the included character folders I have a ton of missing zipmods. Also, everyone's skin has this blue overlay. Any ideas what's up?

Missing zipmods often means that the character card is downloaded together with them, often from paid Patreon posts and similar places. If you got the card off bepis this is common, usually those are distributed as compressed archives that have more files, not uncommon to be a hardmod even with unity files.

Blue skin happens when you do not have Graphics plugin enabled. start the InitSettings.exe and there enable Graphics mod, after you start game and any future run will have it enabled, it should resolve blue skin.
