I merged the split files with 7-zip, but can I delete the split files afterwards? The capacity is so large that I hesitate to do anything.

I personally make sure that everything is working as intended before I delete anything. It's the safe option, but ultimately up to you. Granted, it takes a lot of space.

I know it's better, but I don't have enough drive space. I just did it.

Right - should be on top of a drive outside C:/, for example D:/HS2-R15 (and no unnecessary subfolders like "ScrewThisNoisexxxxx")

My main PC has been under maintenance for weeks, so I installed the game on much weaker old PC and guess what - it has exact same amount of partitions and hardrive memory and it's a lot weaker than my main bit it NEVER crashed unlike my main PC.
Something's telling it has to do either with faulty copy version of BR15 or the model of my main PC seems to act weird with the game process. I heard rumors that modding certain games on it is problematic than on others

Hmm. I downloaded via Torrent & didn't have an issue.

Could anyone help me find the items the game says are missing as shown in the screenshot, also it says that Sjjpl Female 98 is missing as well, i have scoured the modpack and can find no trace of them. Thank you in advance for any help you can give View attachment 4128116

Good luck with that wenshuilian mod. Unless someone here is willing to share theirs, I am not sure it's on the net anymore. I've spent a long time searching for it and all I can find is that it was around years ago, and there is a good chance the original creator of it is gone. Googling it gives me like five hits.

what does the quality settings (performance, normal, quality) in InitSetting actually do? I can't tell a difference. Even fps seem the same.

Standard advice that helped me and I've never looked back:
store your game as high up as possible and with as short a file directory path as possible.
e.g. mine is D:\HS2DX16\
I've also seen advice to avoid storing on c:\ drive. I've always done that anyway so don't know any different.

For years, I avoided the split downloads and just took the torrent DL. If you prefer the splits:
Use 7zip and make sure you have all files and enough space to extract.
