I'm installing this for the first time:
All-In-One (DX R16 Base Game Repack - 72.8 GiB)

Do I need to do the following?

• Run "[BR] HoneySelect 2 Registry Fixer.bat" in your game folder.
• Install "R3.1 Hotfix".

There is no R3.1 Hotfix. And I'd rather not mess with my registry. What would happen if I didn't do the registry fixer?

I usually get up and go do something else whenever I first install a new update, could be gone for 15-20 minutes, so I'm not sure the exact time. I just know it takes my non-gaming laptop awhile, so I just let it go.

Em, you mean illusion games? Because Koikatsu is just one of them.
Depending on what you mean under "modeling". If just setting poses, than all illusion games have pretty same skeletal model and giving them pose is almost the same process.
Animation, lets say you can animate your own poses, but its not a perfect tool, and it will be better to invest time into real 3d rendering like blender or sfm.
Graphics, well, Koikatsu is full anime and cartoonish.
HS2 is much more realistic, but faces are far from perfection in expressions deparment, also males are horrible.
