In the end, making rare things common is the only way to stop shady folks from profiting off them. Not by acting all high and mighty with restrictions you can't even enforce. Catch you later.
That's complete bullshit the only one who get profits from them is you because you sell the mod they crack on a Chinese website. You only share the mod here because you want to gain sympathy, seek attention, and most importantly the mod is no longer worth anything or no one is buying it anymore hahaha.

Bro, I saw it, you're cooked.
I mean.. do i need to add anything else?

Motherfucker... I go spend a few days offline at the beach to work on me tan, come back and all this drama.

B? A? Why why why did you guys ever invite that dude?? Moreover, why do you actually need a private Discord to share DBlin, GDC, whatever?? You can do it right HERE. GDC was here griping couple weeks back and look... we're all still here sharing GDC stuff. DBLin was probly here too. So are we.

F95zone don't delete mods from being shared unless they fucked up illegal shit. That is tried and true. So why keep it all VIP and private??? Why not share Xyth24 Jill Warrick, Sun and all your others right here?
U know very well the sharing server never been private or any vip stuff.
The reason why ppl inside are cherry picked is to avoid to get inside the wrong ppl who doesn't care to keep it up
and/or collaborate actively to take it down. Simple as that.
Main and only reason why mods aren't reposted here as well is to avoid to feed and support the profit of scums like that one above.

An actual screenshot from the guy's Discord ''fuck bahamut'' (yes, it's the name of the discord), bro is truly beyond patheic.
Thanks for the info, but he have nobody inside. Those mods he posted are quite dated. All the garbage have been thrown out already. There're new mods since a while now and he didn't post them yet which mean he has absolutely nobody inside.

Sidenote:
Don't worry, GDC mods will keep being posted regularly .

Oh I gotta quote this shit... and quote it... and quote it...

No no, dude. Not telling people here about it means its been made "PRIVATE".

If the Chinese griper guy managed to get in... it's obviously NOT simple. :giggle:

The fact we have a strong and efficient backup system
doesn't mean i want to load it up everyday just cus the server is opened to everyone.
I'd do a quick backup if I was you--just in case Discord decides to shut you down again. ;) Why not back it all up right here in Belize?

That's like those self-righteous religious nuts who think they can police porn to keep it from underaged teenager eyes. You will never stop people who want something bad enough. You're a pirate. You should know that! You should have just not posted, man. It makes you look dumb.

Not only that, on behalf of every dude and lady(if there are any) who regular these threads and would appreciate cool mods too, if you don't put your cache here for God, Chinese thieves, and everybody to enjoy, you and B(Krorus) are no longer welcome at F95zone.

What an insane meltdown over not being given mods for free on demand. Unlike you bahamut and krorus posted a ton of mods in the past and GDC mods are being posted by bahamut every month still. You don't speak on anyone's behalf but your own.
Maybe it's ungrateful and entitled leeches who shouldn't be welcome.

This is last time i reply because there're ppl who look for notifications in the hope to find new mods posted, not to read this circus. I've been reading continously about you and some other ppl calling ppl (anyone) who share mods 'pirates'.
That's totally far from being true. Only one guy gave a proper explanation several pages ago, and nobody yet understood sheet.

The term "piracy" apply when u share or make profit out of "copyrighted" content.
The first PIRATE here is ANY MODDER who rip the COPYRIGHTED asset from any videogame and SELL IT in exchange of money.
(Same apply to the resellers ofc).
The modder itself DOES NOT have any copyright on the ripped asset, unless they made the mod from scratch and they actually PAID to obtain the proper documents to claim the ownership of the copyrights on X Y model/mod/whatever.

Some companies, to contain the phenom of models ripping, allowed it strictly within the policy of FAIR USE which mean you can use the asset for fan arts or any other use AS LONG AS U DON'T USE IT FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES.

In this case hironically the modder is the pirate, and the dude who share the mod for free is just acting within the terms of the "FAIR USE". (Go get documented about such policy if u dk it).

I "hope" this is last time (but i doubt) i read the tag "pirates" applied on ppl who share mods.

Speak for yourself without 'trying' badly to represent the community or the F95 forum just in the attempt to get carried.
Get down from your pedistal.

The pirate word first come centuries back from merchant vessels being overrun at sea by criminal seafarers who boarded the vessels, overpowered the crews, and took their cargo--be it for resell or private use. Why was this bad to the grand scheme? Cause the cargo never made it to those who paid for it, they demanded their money back, and the merchants went bankrupt. Oh shit.

Modders actually promote copyright stuff same as Liam Neeson promoted Dark Knight in that creepy little gurl disguise. People will remember that bank scene with the Joker, realize they still don't have Dark Knight on 4K, and order a copy right after they leave the theater. Why is this good?

Nah man. I do agree with your logic and the irony, but its not the way the world is. Besides that, GDC pays extra for creative licenses for clothes she ports. Whatever you think of her, she's legal eagle. And no, my door pointing won't work. You will be back if only to read. But unless you do share at least some of what you guys been hording on private Discords for yourselves, reading may be all you get to do.

This coming from a "cherry-picked" member of their private Discord, I wouldn't be so sure about that, Hater.
I'm not on the server, I'm just not mental about gooning, I have bigger problems in life than not getting access to the latest Xyth headmods.

You're not even a jannie, why are you pretending to have a say in who gets to post lmao.

You are too stupid to understand that you've just proven his point and it's fucking sending me hahahaha.

Anyway, this thread really is just nonstop drama now so we all better stop.

No, many of the costumes ported by GDC were stolen without paying any licensing fees. For example, Nexon, who holds the rights to the costumes of The First Descendant, does not allow any commercial use involving those models. However, GDC created mods using models ripped from the game without Nexon's permission. This is absolutely an act of piracy and cannot be legal under any circumstances.

I will give another example. There is a modder who did some original creative work while porting clothing from DAZ to HS1. He discovered that the models he created were stolen by GDC without any prior permission.

We can't really go for a month without any kind of dramas, huh? Like, what the hell is with this community?
I'm not an OG or anything so sometimes I look back at past discussions in this thread and it was so full of life back then. People were chatting, asking about advice and sharing mods that they made. Now we can't even have a proper discussion without wondering if the other party is Xyth's burner account or not.

Well thats because people moved on and the sharing that was happening basically stopped due to Komono importer shiiting itself again, a increasing smaller group of modders and apparently everything getting put behind closed doors ... right now the only people that arent locking things behind either paywall or "wait 6 months or more" are Cunihinx and Tigerjr, there is some that have free mods such as Freelancer, sjjpl, K1T0 and a few more but there is simply too much locked and very few sharing ...

Speaking of drama, every GDC link in the official discord was deleted as apparently GDC is quiting ... there is seemily a meltdown over something, I also checked the Patreon and a rather curious post about VIP ... the thing is, as far I see HS2 scene died out because so much content was put behind pay walls, most ended up stop playing the game as they would have to be playing Genshin levels of money per month to keep up ... this is what having everyone milking does, cost is too high to have something diferent to do or see and even the people that pay will get bored and leave.

Xyth isnt even the problem, yes ... he is someone that overprices mods to the extreme but everyone doing the same, here is a $15 subcription and if you update to the next tier thats $25 you get everything I release this month that can be 1 new mod or 3 new mods, what a bargin and dont even get me started on "select one mod of this month" bullshit ... everyone dime a dozen, pay me $5 for a hair, pay me $10 a month for 1-5 mods ...

This is a problem with modding overall nowadays. I've seen it in various other games like Assetto Corsa, ETS2/ATS, BeamNG, GTA V, Skyrim, etc. On one hand I get it that if they're doing it full time so they can dedicate most of their time towards it, it takes hours to make it, problem is that it's not priced correctly and with most games, it becomes a gray to illegal area as most mods are being based on IPs, usually vehicles.
BeamNG is pretty notorious for Ferrari actually going ahead striking mods using their vehicles for the game, since the softbody physics based destruction engine in the game can completely destroy the vehicle, as in irl if the mod is made properly.

It's nice when developers see how popular modding their games is, but nowadays they are trying to make it so that it complies with both the studio behind the game and possibly with actual companies, racing sims are going that route like in Assetto Corsa EVO and even Project Motor Racing from Straight4 Studios. Afaik you will be able to mod the games outside the official route, but I'm pretty sure most will try to go the official route as that will be the safest way for paid mods to become a thing too.

It's a messy situation overall for games and modding itself.
