I never tried HS
I am trying to figure out if I should dive into HS 1 or 2 first.
What one is better supported by modders these days?
I'm familiar with VaM, and adding scenes and stuff, but which HS is the better option to play around with these days?
Anything else worth knowing?

Both are very popular, the only difference is the graphics quality. Personally, I only use the StudioNeo from hs1. I don't use hs2 because it's too cluttered on the screen and there are only repacks for it, unlike the first one which allows you to do a clean install.
HS2 has way more custom characters than HS1. HS1 may have some exclusive chars.

Hey everyone, I just downloaded the Fan Version & all the stuff i found interesting from the Mediafire link, but now when i look at the high heels in-game, it's pretty damn clear they're missing some additional skeleton/physics mod to make them work as intended. But i saw a so called "GGMod" being mentioned here and there related to this, so if anyone can point me to it, it would be much appreciated.

Are you talking about the mod packs for the meta girls? If so, I have 1 - 15 & Tifa 4K, I just don't have the mod files for Tifa. If anybody does could you please share them?

Which mods or which creator's mods are you looking for? Or are you just meaning in general? Because if in general, then yes most links to the big collections of mods. Especially for paid mods are no good anymore and since the Honey Select Discord got nuked it is unlikely they will be renewed. The best anyone can do now is to ask for a specific mod or two every now and then. And hope someone has them and is willing to share. Ask for some specific mods you want. I may be able to help out with some.

It was meant in a general sense. Thanks for trying to help we need more people like you. This game is becoming more and more like abandonware as time goes on, and I think we needs to back up the files before that moment comes. I still regret not being able to save the data that existed in the character cloud from HS1, back when Illusion was running it.

SKLX made some Bender Add-Ons that are able to port characters to Blender from HS, HS2, & KK (Unity). But, I'm not sure if you can port the characters from Blender to Unity with it.

I just checked, and it seems like a very useful plugin, but it doesn’t seem to help with porting specific characters into the game. A long time ago, I think Roy12 or 13 wrote a kind of tutorial on how to port characters, so I’m wondering if I should read that. Since it’s a really old tutorial, I’m curious whether any new methods have emerged since then.

These were also broken on Kemono, so I couldn’t download them. I found a link in the thread that had 73lac7c all works, but someone left only the folder and deleted all the files.
Other than Joan6694's Honey Select Plugin "NodesConstraints", there was another plugin/addon that helps attach bones and objects in studio Neo. This one I'm talking about also had a menu in which you can allocate animation-related facial expressions to the character, and choose how she sounds during the animation (bewitching, energetic, etc.), and modify the pitch of her voice.
