Not sure what I just played, but, Avaron1974 hit the nail on the head. I haven't played the other games, but, this was not a good experience. Anyway, I wish the dev well.

Any update with the full release? or is the game that big of a mess to not even bother?
I enjoyed the other works, even bought the remaster of date Ariane, but since the beginning this game ticked me off not sure why

The game is complete and appears bug free. However, it is more of a game with some erotic elements than a porn game.
The developer is more interested in exploring issues they are interested in than pleasing any audience. The game invests a lot of its time in explaining what asexual and aromantic means (the orientations of two of the three main female characters), together with other musings on systems of government, social justice and technology. I found all this interesting, but I suspect most people who use this board would not.
Most of the erotic scenes are very brief and not very titillating.
I'm a big fan of Ariane's work. In my opinion, Date Ariane, Something's in the Air, and Ariane in Paradise were each 'erotic game of the year' in their respective years of release. This one isn't as good as any of them. It completely lacks the exploration element to the gameplay that made the others fantastic.
I really liked the heavy branching of their past works tbh, if this is more a linear experience i think I'll pass for now, or at least not spend 5 bucks like I gladly did with Date Ariane's re-release
I bought the game for 5 bucks because I wanted to support the dev after having played all of their past games for free.
It's quite unlike the previous ones. It feels more like a long winded and opinionated blog post that comments on certain aspects modern society, except it has tits in it.
Cool if you're interested in that sort of thing, give it a pass if you want a dating sim like the previous ones.

Even though otkmage posted a link to 1.0 back in November, the OP showed Demo 0.4 links. With the Date Ariane Remaster, people are looking at her other games like this one and noticed.

I was hesitating to play this cause it seemed to be a sequel but your comment made me want to try it out, I've never seen asexual and aromantic characters in these games and exploring other peoples views on society is my jam, hopefully it is good.
This was honestly the worst adult game I've played in a while and easily the worst in the Ariane series. A half baked life sim combined with a poorly written dystopia scenario, almost no actual connection or intimacy to any of the characters, and clearly loaded to a ridiculous degree with the creators personal biases on certain subjects, I deleted it after completing my first run. If you enjoyed the other games in the series and you wish to retain that enjoyment, just pretend this game doesn't exist.
