I just explained it bro. They got leeched to death. HUGE fan-base , all of them complaining about not catering to their specific requests but at the same time none of them actually supporting (paying). Leech sites had a blast for years since they were updating every 2-3 days ... until the artists and devs said "screw this".
Now we goota scrape for a couple of shitty renders in shitty grind-games to get our fix.
They even made another game recently and after a month or two without updates it got the abandonded tag because people kept asking for updates like it was candy. One of the devs told me that when they were about to update they saw that they got the abandonded tag and they were actually happy that people will now stop bullying them.
Same story with Milftoon. They did that Drama game , they got only hate and people kept asking the artist to go solo , artist listens and goes solo... and it got FAR worse (lol) since the artist is money-hungry like there is no tomorrow ... and now people are asking them to come back after they bullied them to hell and back.
Damn, never realized that happened to them. Such a shame, their games were top-tier too.

Leeching is not a problem. How many more decent free non-H games than H games? Non-H game developers usually can get good amount of supports form digital marketing agencies but there hardly any digital marketing in H-games. There needs a clever way to address this problem. The infamous bitcoin mining was a bad example but it is such a good way. Free never really free.

it would be great to see this game get a revival or picked up by a different team as it sad to see such a good game dying or be abandoned as i hope for progress for full finalized version as i want to see more stuff that could've happened as i reached the end of the game and was craving more experience i also thought what if the one beats the game on the second round the players can actually join in with the victims like point where we see the bully and teacher were doing it cause of the demon and join them
