Ill look into it! Shes supposed to try to avoid slime pregnancy at the start, but it might be broken in the current build and allow her to get impregnated by slimes immediately if she gets attacked during the waterway dungeon.

It might be a while though before I can fix stuff as the current build is still quite in progress as the combat revamp is going to take a nice long while.
I just understand why the main character got pregnant with slime, but I still didn't understand how Anya got pregnant, I was just testing the mechanics of the game and the action game - without completing quests. As far as I know, Anya's pregnancy opens after her quest chain and only at the end.

That's correct on how it should work, so it must be broken somewhere! I'll test it and try to fix it up for the combat update release!

March Devlog + Combat Demo Information!
Check out the progress more on or !

In this month's devlog, we'll be taking an early look into how the new combat demo is coming along for Horny Mage Academy, so without further ado....

Introducing Lily's Erotic Potion Delivery! The combat demo for Horny Mage Academy's major revamp!

If you're thinking to yourself "Wait, HGame, this looks like a new game." then you'd be only half-correct! It's both the demo for upcoming combat update for Horny Mage Academy, as well as its own game!

Lily's Erotic Potion Deliver service is going to be a short little game built directly off of Horny Mage Academy's basic systems and plugins. It was made by first making a copy of the project for Horny Mage Academy, and then deleting 2/3rds of the 120+ common events, 90% of the maps (keeping debug and a few small combat maps i had made recently), and keeping everything else.

As a result, any work that's done in Lily's game can be simply copied over to HMA without any issue!

Taking a step back though, the combat demo had to be its own project for several reasons.

First and foremost is scale. Horny Mage Academy has something like 200 maps, 120+ common events running a variety of parallel processes, 60+ skills tied to classes, and far, far more intertangled systems all tied together in a way that makes taking just a small piece of the game very difficult, if not impossible.

I identified in my last blog another key area besides the combat system that I was going to work on, and that was detangling the mess that is the COMM system (which controls everything from tutorials and prostitution calls to side-stories for Anya and more), as well as streamlining the pregnancy systems and redoing parts of the time management system to make things less buggy and glitchy.

This is a rather large undertaking on its own, but throw on top of that the fact that there can't be anything released until, at minimum, the vast majority of the skills and spells are completed (as otherwise you would have to redo classes repeatedly as things broke with each update, and many classes wouldn't give any reward at all for ages until I got to those skills). Many key areas and systems are locked behind dungeons and would be awkward to route around or even impossible. It quickly becomes apparent that the combat demo needs to be its own side project, as I alluded to earlier when I mentioned that the demo would star Lily!

My first idea for this was a bonus dungeon that I tinkered with, and that is still in the works but might be better suited as postgame/optional content in the main game (the fun little trap dungeon design I showed off in an early devlog)

But as I was working on Lily's artwork for Horny Mage Chronicles (as I felt really bad that I couldn't have her ready in time for its steam release), I realized that she would be perfect for a cute little storyline involving Anya having her deliver a potion!

The goal with this project is to focus on refining the new combat system for Horny Mage Academy, building all of the new systems and spells and enemies and ally companions, and, at the end, giving me an easy way to just copy them into the main project without issue! (since the two projects share the same plugin list and configuration, I'll make sure to test compatibility early and often for that but so far everything's been great!)

The scope of this game is far, far smaller than HMA. The basic storyline is that Anya (in her timeskip appearance and outfit!) is giving Lily a mysterious potion to deliver to the guard captain of a nearby town.

Through various hijinks, you then end up dismantling an evil cult with the help of friends both old and new! (Eillana and Andrew have major parts in the storyline, and this also gives me a good chance to redraw Andrew finally!)

As a result of this though, the Demo is going to be its own fully-fledged game as well as the combat demo, with only a few pieces not being directly transferable to HMA (such as the spirit-summoning system which allows Lily to borrow the power of spirits to use spells, as she's not a mage herself, this is mostly to give me a way to implement all of the main game's spells and skills for testing and development without breaking her character or lore!)

Lily's default skillset will be the potions tree, including at the start poison (still ranged with a splash effect), and healing flasks, which are now a small point-blank aoe on yourself used via a new skill, and later expands to include the slowness and exploding flasks as well.

Andrew will be our tester for sword and martial skill trees, and I'm hoping development progresses enough to allow me to add light and dark spells as well! (a long-planned feature for HMA that stalled as the original combat system's limitations and crashes started taking up all of my development time)

The addition of a cult is intended to allow me to start rolling out some ideas I had for the corrupt church (while not exactly the same, the general theme of corruption is there), so with any luck not only will Lily's adventure work development of the main game, but will also allow me to expand HMA's release with even more new content!

Now, the first release of the combat demo isn't going to have a ton of stuff. I have completed a few basic spells like splash wave, mana burst, magic archery, and tentatively poison and healing flasks (both are still a bit glitchy at the moment but work for the most part), and I plan to take a crack at magic laser and a new water spell called water wall that creates a field effect that blocks projectiles and pushes and damages enemies that touch it away, for a hefty mp cost, but other than that the balance system I showed a bit of last time is still in a rough draft, the stats screen crashes because it's looking for Olivia's artwork instead of Lily's, and, although only two maps are current planned with only slimes and wolf pups for this release, they're both not complete and pregnancy mechanics and crafting/gathering are also not done yet.

But even with all that work left to do and more, I have a tentative plan for a mid to late April release of the first demo for the combat system and LIly's new adventure! Here are some more development screenshots and a sneek peak at lily's first erotic scene that's in progress!

As of this date, all of the Images, contained in this comment, are not showing, probably due to this (?), "c10.patreonusercontent.com/4/patreon-media" : "Expired URL", it's what shows, when trying to open the image, in another location .

Just thought I'd bring it to your attention, (in case you didn't know), due to you being very busy on the game's re-work . Came here to check the progress of this game, after finding it on Itch.io's site .

Thanks for letting me know! The Devlogs can also be found at subscribestar for free (patreon has to be gated behind the paywall because they don't allow NSFW in public posts, but its the same between both sites!)

Oddly enough, the images seem to be broken on subscribestar's page to me as well, for both march and april's devlogs... I'm not entirely sure why.
If its the same for others I'll try to look into it more when I have the time later. It's a little confusing.

And while I'm here, here's the devlog for May's development on the new combat system!

Full save anyone ?! :)
No full game to have a full save of. Been hoping for that since before it was posted here. The concept and theme are excellent, but the dev pace has been... not excellent. I'm wishing for the best, but it feels like another never done game that had a lot of promise.

The pace has never been great because it's a hobby passion project that's going to take me several more years to flesh out at minimum.

I have a full time dayjob as a freelance editor and gamedev work ranges from 0 to 30 hours a week depending on how much editing work I need to do to survive. Some months I make amazing progress on things while others I can barely get a few hours in as clients swarm me with "this novel needs to be edited by Tuesday please have it done immediately!"

Currently, I'm taking the time to redo the combat system with a newer plugin set to finally fix several major crash bugs and glitches, and decided to split off a standalone combat demo rather than redo all 50+ spells, 3+ dungeons, and 6+ enemies before any release at all was made.

It was basically a choice between a standalone demo and project release in months with a proper release in a year and a half or so or a year plus of no releases at all.

You can follow devlogs over on patreon or subscribestar, if you want to see more about the progress being made with the new systems!

That's actually a great game tbh. Mechanics such as classes are really confusing at first, and quests don't really tick off after being completed (such as Studying neutral(?) magic two times), but it's still promising as a dungeon crawler. Art can wait

Yeah. Passion projects take time, but they are often the best once they are done. Reminds me of Collars Rebirth, a similar thing. Passion project for the dev but now after years it’s got a lot to work with and plenty more in the works.

I get similar vibes here, and have for a long time. Always happy to see how the game evolves! Also similar to Collars Rebirth, I adore your pregnancy system slowly growing and changing the art over time. It’s one of my favorite parts honestly

Also playing the long game here. Can tell this game will be gold but will take years to be finished, so in "watched threads" it goes and check here every 3-6 months

Recently a literal sequel was released with the current characters from this game after graduating from the academy...
Can this game be considered abandoned because of this?
