It makes the most sense that the web version of the game runs on renpy version 8, while the original game is made on renpy 7. Downgrading versions is not possible, as far as I know.

Yes seems like the issue is with wrong version of RenPy.
I managed to run and load the game after I moved the game folder to the RenPy SDK folder and started the game from RenPy itself, so basically using the latest version of RenPy explicitly.
Hope my message will help others who might have same issue in future.

I wish the side objective page showed what's available for girls or the phone NPC guide showed what's available / completed (Toggle/ or put not completed yet on top) instead of going through each person to see what's not finished.

some NPC quests stuck at the last objectives won't be processed or guess completed for that update.

does anyone know if able to unlock the town hall yet with NTR off for Marcy?

There should be a walk-through file included with the game download you can use to find the NTR / non-NTR paths for each character. I haven't looked at the Dream gallery for several updates so can't confirm if it contains every scene already in the game.

What an unexpected question. Unless I missed something, he can be caught there during the first party, in the story, or with the NTR on, I won't say spoilers. Read the walkthrough file in the game folder (appreciate the developer's efforts!), Lucas Alpha.

I am enjoying the story here but I am having trouble getting past the character appearances. The males look okay, pretty normal, but the females have these sharp facial lines that make them look like Klingons or Morrowind elves, especially the first three. Gemma and Adel are especially nightmarish.

A question, which hopefully someone can answer - the walkthrough states that I can offer contraceptive pills to Lillie while at the skate park but I have not yet gotten that option, even though we go at it like bunnies whenever possible. Any clue as how to get that option activated?

As a character, yes. You have to admit, though, that she is pretty weird looking. Certain shots of Adel and Chris are also pretty disturbing. It is almost as if the Dev thinks British women are homely, except for the dumb but pretty ones that Frank preys on in his "workout" sessions.
