For example, if I downloaded the game Hounds of the Meteor for the first time in my life and have never played this game before, I downloaded: Win - Part 1, Win - Part 2, Win - Part 3, Win - Part 4, Win - Part 5, then do I need to download Update Only or not? If so, where should I unpack it?

no
Step 1-Make new folder where you want the game to be installed
Step 2-Download part 1 to new folder
Step 3-Repeat for parts 2-5
Step 4-Open part 2, select contents, move to part 1 folder
Step 5-Repeat for parts 3-5
If it says there is something that has the "same name do you want to replace" ALWAYS hit yes

In your case the previous post is correct. When the next update comes out, if you want to play the next exact version (only the exact next version) you'll only need to download the and add in update only. Downloading the update only part won't hurt anything, but it's not necessary for a fresh install.

Can I ask if anyone has had this problem? When I go to the main screen, it works, but when I go to the game screen, it freezes and when I look at it, the CPU doesn't run at all. Can anyone help me? Thank you. Ảnh chụp màn hình 2025-02-12 203318.png

I can't be nice, the game is garbage.

No controls are ever explained, you're thrown in "defeat all enemies" cool, how? guess its time to start pressing every button.
After that? Some story bit. After that? "Look around". Pressing enter gives the same line every time. Pressing arrow keys makes a noise but does nothing. Clicking everything on the screen does nothing. I'm not even sure the mouse has any use at all in the game, but I figured it was worth a try. Pressed escape to see if I could find the controls. Game just exited. Went through it again and pressed esc during the fight scene, hoped it was just a fluke. Nope, esc just closes the game.

The fighting that did happen was very meh. Jump and spam punches on enemies. Screen zooms way the fuck in when you do that for some reason.
The graphics are fine even if some of the humans look very weird.

It's the actual gameplay elements that are garbage. And that was after having to download 5 different zip files that are not properly set up for unzipping at the same time, you have to go into the folder that's inside each of them and copy things from there.

Most games I play if I like I buy. This I feel like I should be paid to play. I'm overexaggerating to indicate how bad of an experience this was, obviously no one should pay people to play their game. But damn.

Expecting a triple A experience with flawless UI, subtle but helpful hints, and seamless tutorial transitions? Give the guy 100m budget. ;)

Good suggestions on your feedback though. I'm just putting things into realistic perspective here.

i find it good, game back then just like super contra, metal slug are just like this, hit and running, what you'd expect from an H game? something like TR? FF? you can find the control explanation on game settings, i can get it if this game is not your cup of tea..

of course, people will buy if they like it, it will always be like that anyway..
how can you feel that you should be paid to play? did you get the game on his CI-EN site?

i'm agree with the zip file, but pretty much okay with it. it just took a few minutes to extract the zip, and copy paste the content, nothing to be moaned about..

but yea, good feedback you have there..

It's important to note the game is not finished yet. But yes, it could use a tutorial and a proper compression.
If you learned about dash attack cheese the combat might seem even worse to you lol
Combat is not the point of the game IMO. We have a single dev and he mostly focuses on branching events - that's the juice. And that is getting convoluted and could use some kind of hint system. Like in the gallery or expanding the "Think" tab.

I don't think it's triple A experiences only that have:
1. controls explained
2. a menu you can open to check settings / controls mid-game
3. camera zoom options.

Actually just about every indie game has the first two.

I can only judge the things I saw in-game. Since I was stopped by "look around" and a repeating "this neighbourhood is unfriendly" or something like that, immediately after a combat scene, I can only comment on the combat. If the combat's not relevant it might as well be skipped.
