I thought incest was removed? The guy doesn't mention her directly as his niece, but it's still very much implied when he says "... I owe my sister favors. I can't throw her stepdaughter out on the street." So... she's his stepniece. Apparently still.
On another note - the story. The random crap like him blowing up the microwave with an AK47 is very off-putting. I can't take the story seriously enough that I'm inclined to just skip through the dialogue straight to the sex scenes.

Hey guys, I didn't know there was a topic about this game, I'll follow to get the suggestions and criticisms.
But back to the subject, it was kind of hard to create a justification for Joel not fuck Alanna without the incest thing. I simply solved this problem by making the game evolve quickly, which is contrary to my initial plans.
And my intention with the first demo was just what you mentioned, a fast pace to show how the game would evolve. In the first demo, after 2 events there is already a sex scene and Alanna gets jealous. In the final version, I wanted all rooms to have their events, so this scene would take about 5 events to happen. The promotion, which occurs after 4 events, would only occur after about 10 events.
But I don't think it makes sense to keep a slow pace anymore. Incest was the theme of the game and I wanted the evolution to be slow to create some greater sense of accomplishment in the player. But Patreon's new rules simply destroyed my initial plans. Now the only way for Joel to stay 10 events resisting Alanna is if the game happens to be a gay simulator.

You have to promote Alanna in the office to unlock the other events. I know this mechanic is not very natural, but it was the only way for me to create some sort of progression in the game without going crazy with the multiple possibilities

Maybe it's some bug then. Did you get a new save? On the house map, there is a heart indicating each location with event available. If there is no heart and you failed to promote it, then it is probably a bug. I'll check the game code.
She was raised by the protagonist's sister. But originally she was his niece.
And like the other games I do, it's not to be taken seriously. Those who like complex and realistic stories probably hate me, lol.

It was a bit of a strange dynamic, and this makes more sense now about why it felt like "no, no, no, well, maybe, ok, yes!" so quickly. You mention it in the game so you could build and elaborate on it, but if Joel's sister helped him hide from authorities, it makes sense that he owes her a big favor, and maybe she made him promise not to touch her daughter or something... I can envision where Joel has an "honor among thieves" reason to resist that makes sense and allows for a slower build-up if that was your original intention?

Try to start a new save. You can skip skip the lines you've already seen and quickly reach the same point. You do not have to train Alanna for now, her ability tests will only be available in the next version. Just go in the rooms with heart icons and call Alanna on them, until there are no hearts left and you can promote her.
I liked these suggestions. Yes, I can even do a flashback at some point showing Joel promising his sister that he would not try to take advantage of Alanna, something like that. Or even create a some stronger reason.Haha or gay conversion therapy?

I can also just ignore this and add more events to the rooms in the house. I think the biggest problem is not the justification for him to deny Alanna, but the fact that he has changed his attitude very quickly.
The only problem with this solution is that the game may be very annoying. If Alanna gets 10 events showing her breasts and Joel does nothing, players will start getting bored ...

A hell of a lot of work to change that one simple thing - that being said, I'm sure a kind soul would be willing to make the correct script modifications for him if he wanted.
Also @TK8000 the writing is stellar as always - I don't need some plot trying to make itself seem more profound than it is, the Adam Sandler thing is hilarious. The AK blowing up the microwave? Incredible. Honestly these games wouldn't be so special without the wacky shit everyone does. Keep it up!

It's sad that the new politic of Patreon block the incest content, but you can make a patch or a console code to change it (an unofficial patch) some games here have it (like Sisterly Lust or Dating my Daughter if I remember good) maybe some people already told you that but just in case ^^
However this game is really good and I'm very excited to see the next update !

heh yet there is the scene where she's sucking his cock and he's calling out his sister's name.... so i wouldn't be able to believe his sister would say don't fuck her.
i did have an idea for a twist tho, he finally bangs her and realizes she's not just trying to seduce him to keep from being thrown out but she actually loves him, so he marries her, she gets pregnant and as she's giving birth he finally learns that duh duh duhhhhhhh she's actually his daughter he never knew about.... hahahaha
