And yet that's not this game. The story is shallow, the characters are shallow, and at best this game is (as well as most others) an edging simulator that gates your Os with a little bit of grind mechanics that hopefully don't frustrate you enough to not play.
I think you are a bit too harsh on this game. I am not saying the game is perfect.
But it sounds like you are rating it a bit too low.
Regardless, not every game is going to be good at leveraging the potential advantages of the medium of games.
Not every game is guaranteed to be good and successful. Most games are quite bad actually and are also going to be financial flops. Because they fail to deliver.
Don't get me wrong, high quality and uniqueness all the way, and don't reply to this as though I said "why are plots important at all" which is how it already feels its being replied to as - I just don't think this is one of those games. I think this is a pay pig kind of game.
