during the first Elena scene, it says you need arousal>=8 to select the "Unnecessary" choice but there's not enough arousal points to gather in the previous choices it seems. unless I'm missing something, how do you get more than 8 arousal points in that scene?
I'm sure the intent wasn't to make it fit ultrawide monitors, but to use a cinematic aspect ratio for the blocks of purely narrative content. It gets a bit "artsy" to talk about, but most films aren't natively in 16:9, but in wider formats, and that affects the feel of things like framing. There's a brief bit of it in the end of Chapter 1 too.
Personally, I thought it was well used, and as others have mentioned the game returns to normal 16:9 for the main part of the chapter where the player interacts, etc.
Considering the preparations for steam release of the first game, and also the fact that this is not his main job, I'd say he has done fine job in six month.
And it's simple understanding (but i guess not in your case) that House of Hearts has a major upgrade to the quality of the renders/visuals than Game of Hearts. I'd go out on a limb and say that one render probably took about 2 hours to make give or take. (there's definitely A LOT more major facts that took time to do but i just named the one i regard the simplest to deduce being a time cruncher)
So overall I'd say 6 Months for one episode of a game with this major visual upgrade is gods work.
If every single big release games on this website did this much every 6 months, I think 99% of the people frequenting the website would be thrilled at the progress made.
There are a lot of games with yearly releases that don't even have as much story or renders as this one, let's not even speak of the quality of said renders, so I don't know what your point is. Might want to curb your expectations because out of every single game out there you could have posted that very smart comment on, this one wasn't it.

It seems Spark has not only continued the complex sex scenes, but seems to have better balanced different approaches. Just to address some of the reviews about forced LIs, Spark seems to have left quite a bit of room for how the player can shape their personality considering character tokens don't need to be redeemed. The completionist in me can't leave those unused though...
thanks for the info.
I tried this and it worked for getting the boli_bull_active. However making these choices reduced my maximum score from 224 to 218. Not a big change I wonder if having this attribute will help or just be a distraction going forward.
You can get over 240 with the Crush trait at 2 and Bull trait at 3 (you can't get both traits at 3, it's exclusive) and that's focusing on Lust path (passion).
Following the same path but cuming outside get you on Love path (affection) with at min 235 (Crush at 2 and Bull at 3).
As for now I suppose it's more important to unlock the traits and max trust/affection/interrest than trying to do the best score possible since you only need to hit a score of 170 to have a good shoot (we will see in the futur if higher score change anything but I doubt it).
This series is truly a 10/10 - it's in my top 5 for sure. But what I find - for lack of a better term - lazy is the LI's mannerisms during sex and their o-faces. At least with the followers, all of them are extremely timid during sex. None of them are virgins (can't confirm Olivia, but I imagine not), but they all kind of act like it. They all exclaim "cumming" when they cum, and they make this half-assed ahego face with their tongues slightly sticking out. Women don't all orgasm the same. Some are loud, some don't make a sound, some swear... just a little variance is all I would ask for here.
Other than that, an amazing sequel and I'm actually glad the dev didn't do away with the lewd scene scoring system. Not sure if I'm a fan of Ruby's new look, though.
This is also a big reason why i love Game of Hearts and House of Hearts. MC is a demon who's supposed to be devilish (because Demon's duh) But you can actually choose to be a good guy (with a tiny sprinkle of I'll steal your wife devilish). I love that so much!
Yep, most of the time my modus operandi is to unexpectedly switch between "caring and understanding guy" and "lustful and horny demon", this way it makes corrupting Meredith (I think that was the name of the married woman in the previous game) something much more natural and fluid. Honestly, corrupting a married woman in front of her husband has never been as exciting as in GOH.
Wow. I've only played for a few minutes, but I'm already blown away by the renders. Not that Game of Hearts didn't look good, but this... this might just be the best-looking AVN I've ever played.
While I'm here, I might as well say I thought the new game is off to a good start. I liked the setup a lot better than the Meredith seduction in the first game, and the new cast seems very promising. It was great to see Brie given a prominent role, too; I wish it felt a little more distinct from Julia's last time, but there's plenty of time for it to grow in a different direction based on her different character. And the new game definitely has the same sensuality and slow paced atmosphere that made the first game so remarkable. I'm curious to see more, which is a good sign after the confusing end to the last game.
I will say, however, that the transition between games feels very rough. I get that unexpected things happened to the MC, but it comes across more as a rewrite than it does a development of the story. We were told in Game of Hearts that the MC was going to gather followers because he needed them to live, but now his only followers are in some sort of comma to sustain Julia with no explanation to how the MC will manage without them. Similarly the MC has retroactively accepted the invitation to the House of Hearts, but we never learn how this would affect his previous deal with Astofiel - assuming that's even valid after Julia's 'timer' expired. I also find the goals of the new contest very confusing (as well as how the MC's own agenda fits into/contradicts them): wouldn't we want to know who the House is broadcasting to in order to maximize the appeal of the product? For that matter, I'm not even sure what metric is used to determine entry into the Hall of Fame.
And before anyone says anything, I recognize that some of these questions might be ones for which the MC himself doesn't have good answers yet. But if that's the case, we really should see the MC asking these questions directly rather than eliding over them in the transition to the new scenario. IMHO, either the first game should have done a little more work to foreshadow the House of Hearts, or the new game should have had a little more in-character exposition at the start.
But that's water under the bridge at this point and I don't think it detracts too badly from what, again, is a very solid start here.
