I think, based on that quote you posted, that they clearly said that AFTER 0.9.2 is released, then they will go back and fix all the story issues that exist in these versions.the full official statement from the official eek forums regarding 0.9.2's public release this friday and future releases:
i'm guessing quality over quantity means releases will be slowing down. fine by me, 0.9.0 and (supposedly) 0.9.1 were... a bit messy. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
further in the thread on eek's site they also said they're ready for story hotfixes. i don't know if this means that we're getting one for 0.9.1, or if we need to wait for 0.9.2.
So, presumably at 0.9.3 (unless they name it something else), which will be after their break so we'll have to wait a while.
But I think this is overall very good, the devs get a needed break from work, then they can come back refreshed and ready to work on fixing issues as opposed to rushing updates and trying to introduce new content into the game.
This will be good for everyone, imho.
