I don't know how the developers think this game is anything other than a porn game. I don't see any other reason to play it besides trying to get into the pants of your preferred girl.

No matter what the devs said, at its current states this is a porn game.
Why? The main focus of the game is to get laid, going around the party screwing talking to the girls trying to get in their pants.
Like the dev said in his article "House Party isn’t a sex simulator. Sex is a mechanic of my game just as it is in Mass Effect 3 or The Witcher 3— acting as a reward, reaction, or a story element that is part of a much grander experience".
Witcher 3 got a stories find Yennefer then find Ciri fight the Wildhunt, sex with Yennefer or Triss its just like a side quest. You don't have to unless its advance the story of the game.
ME3 main story is try to get as many people to fight the reaper, Shepard get laid or not doesn't affect the main story.
If the main focus of the game is sex or get laid then its a porn game. This game exploded because it have sex in it as a main objective, you going around the house doing quest > get rewarded > gain favors > have sex.
This game don't even have a story, just a sandbox so i doubt it get to this current state without sex in the game.

Well, focus is to get to the sex. That is main reward and at the end of the most of the game quests.

But goal to that is done by other means. The adventure game. And the journey itself is fun due to witty dialog and perfect voice acting. And all ridiculous situations you get into it. And best NPC is male and main nemesis, Frank.

IMHO, this would be pretty poor game is it was just sandbox with instant sex, like some blander custom stories change it to be.

On related note, it is kinda weird to classify this game as a "porn game", due to 95% of game time being non-sexual (and Youtube friendly). But on the other hand, sex scenes are full explicit ones (unlike mainstream games with sex that do not even have 3d model of male genitalia and would in most strict case be classified as having softcore porn scenes). So it is a porn game if using that criteria.

I understand that you really like this game for some reason and you are free to do so but you're lying through your teeth when you say this stuff. Even the EEK forums is primarily people making mods to add more sex, to straight up skip the in-game challenges or to give the player all the items so the challenges are easier. This is nothing more than a buggy sex game that some people just like.

I understand that you really don't like this game for some reason and you are free to do so but you are for some reason extremely upset that other people don't feel the same way you do. I can go and cherry-pick reviews that suit my purpose too, and it doesn't make my point any more valid than you doing it makes yours, but regardless of either of our opinions, the reviews on Steam, Google, and many other places are still Very Positive (hell, even on here, it's 4/5 stars), so even if people just like it for the sex (as you say), it's still received very well and has over half a million sales. It's one of the most successful adult titles to date, so when you figure out how that equates into a failure, let me know.

Also, it's not so much that I really like THIS game. I mean clearly, I'm a fan, but the game is not without its faults. In all honestly, it's way better in terms of gameplay and graphics than most other games on this site. I REALLY support this TYPE of game, and this is the first of (I hope) many that get made, so yeah I'm gonna rally behind it in the hope that more games DO get made like this. This is a first attempt of something that's really needed in this industry. Sure it could be better in a lot of ways, but acting like the game is a piece of shit that nobody likes when it has mostly positive reviews everywhere is just dishonest, and it just prevents other people from seeing that people want more games LIKE this. You may subjectively not like it, and that's ok, but the game was and still is a big success, and I'm hoping that ups the bar from all the tiring graphic novels we see on here.

No, you're right, the game IS pornographic in the sense that it has pornographic material in it. That's true. That's not what the dev is arguing though. He's arguing that porn should not be a big deal (much like violence). If this game were just a sex simulator though, I would not play it. That would be rather boring, and this game wouldn't be anywhere near as successful as it has been. Yes, the goal in many cases is to get laid, but the game is not about the goals, considering all of the work the devs put in the journey, and the less effort and emphasis they put on the sex, and that is also the point they are making.

I mean, what do you do at a house party? You chit-chat, there's drama, you drink, you do drugs, you get into fights, and you have sex. All of these things are present in the game, and there's a path where you can get into a fight with each character, get each character drunk, see their drama unfold, and sleep with them. But the game isn't really about ANY of those goals, but the entertainment value in the journey to each of them.

As to whether or not you find the dev's humor and story-telling entertaining, well that's completely subjective.

How in earth can I untie Ashley´s top? I don't know how many times I have been standing behind her but when I click on the top I get no other option than "Inspect", and just some text that I shoud not take an Grabass.

Neither do I. This was related to comment about rum, and how after she drinks it with player, gets sad about her problem with boyfriend and missing to go to Game Grumps party. Which blocks other content with her, until you get Grumps to the party. With first step being giving her cell jammer.

Pissed away 3 hours playing this a couple of nights ago. Then tonight I go to load up my save and what do I find? Nothing. Hit load and no saves are listed. Nada. Yet every time I saved it paused a sec or two then reported it had saved. Where is the game supposed to save to? The Eek folder in Documents doesn't have a save folder. Is it deeper, in Appdata?

OK, I will try the game from the beginning. Maybe there is something I missed. The reason for making this prank with Ashley is to get Vickies phonenumber from Madison. Once I had her phone, so I will try to get Vickies number from that.

Try to clear the "Read-only" check box in properties
