Game freezes at loading screen after clicking start game. Older version like 0.14 worked just fine...

The character interactions and stories are the reward for playing it. There's more to the game than just the sex scenes. Think Leisure Suit Larry, not pornhub.com.

Custom stories, original story? The only correct install directory for custom stories is my documents > eek > something > something > mods > stories. If you use the %appdata% or house party install directory Stories folder the house will be empty. Saved games from older versions can also bug out the house; try moving/deleting them and starting a new game.
in 0.15.1 I had a thing happen last night where saved games won't appear on the main menu's Load Game option. I have to start a new game, then Load Game/F11 to load my saved games.

yeahh, i deleted everything CLEAN and tried it on my sisters laptop as well and she didnt even have a single file on house party. i thought, oh, maybe its an update bug. then after this, im starting to think so. and its on everything. it occurs only during story mode black guy isnt there and everythings like a ghost house instead of a party house
EDIT. i dunno how, but loaded one of the side stories and the characters loaded, went back to the main story and everything was fine....dunno what was that all about but..okay.

so a bug maybe? its not letting me fuck rachael in the vr, and or leave, so i gotta reload, and even if i dont do the vr, it wont give me the option to give her the magazine? why?

presumably it's for keeping anyone from getting in the closet. the door opening while the lock is still attached is likely a bug.
I had this happen today. Side note, I make backups of all the original stories, then tweak the story files in the custom story editer to alter some NPC behavior. I fixed the empty house by moving the modified story out of the install directory and copied in the backup of the unmodified story. It worked, I deleted the original, copied in my modified story, and it still worked.
my Load Save window on the main menu is still bugged.
This. Plus, there are custom stories or console commands if you're just looking for a sex simulator.
You can when this update it final. This is the ".1" beta version of this update.
They do all their updates the same:
XX.0 - alpha update - rough new quests/items in place, not fully funcitonal
XX.1 - beta update - new quest/items more polished, and alpha bugfixs, no voice acting for new content yet
XX.2 - beta+ update - voice acting added and beta bug fixes. sometimes they do a XX.3 and XX.4 update if they need that many bugfixes.... after that they push the final update for that version to steam/itch.io/etc.
