So why were the links to the latest STABLE version (0.18.2) removed from the OP? I've noticed that happening a lot on this site in general - someone will scrounge some files from who knows where (validity/safety questionable) - up them - and then all links to prior previous versions are removed. Why not preserve the old version links and put them in a spoiler tag instead? That way, anyone that wants an old version (for whatever reason) can still get it.

In this case, the v0.19 version is both censored and unstable (inferior). This isn't even taking into account the fact that using SmartSteamEmu while logged into a legitimate Steam account has the potential for blacklisting said account should Valve choose to do so. Nobody mentions this, and quite a few people might want to be appraised of that fact before they choose to run it.

I agree with your statement overall, the previous version shouldn't have been removed. Although the thing with your steam account getting banned is horseshit. Don't scare people just like that. Smart Steam Emu doesn't even try to connect with steam, and steam itself has no way of knowing what other programs you use. If it did, it would be a serious breach of privacy.

Man this game has really gone a long way. It's a shame that the fun little strip hilo game got removed when they redid the game ages ago. From skimming the changelog, it seems like it was never really re-added either...

Here is the CRACKED 0.19 alpha, link. Launch the game through SmartSteamLoader.exe Keep in mind this version is censored, so don't bitch about it.

You can uncensor it easily.
When you extract the archive, there's a folder called "Explicit Content" inside the main folder. Just copy it and paste it into "\HouseParty_Data\StreamingAssets"

From my memory, it sounds like you are starting the game without a story selected or your story files are corrupted for some reason. There should be an option in the main menu to switch what story you play and then you start them all from the same start button. I'm not sure if the menu has changed at all or if this option has moved. The default game comes with at least 3 different stories. The main one, a valentines day special, and a date night with one of the girls. You can also add custom stories found on the devs forum.

The 19.0 Alpha requires launching via SmartSteamLoader_x64.exe (for 64 bit systems), and needs to be run with administrator permissions. Once loaded, let the stories download before you start, or your house will be empty.

So they shouldn't focus on minorities and only pander to straight males? I think being a majority female house party does that already. The female stories have a lot more content than the very basic male character interactions. Derek is super easy, Frank and Patrick aren't that likeable, and there's only a single interaction with them at the end of their quests.

As for Frank, he is an important character, as he is the main/only antagonist; someone you're supposed to dislike early on, and makes the game challenging. Without him being updated as the rest of the game progresses, such as stories for the females, then you'd reach a point where the game is no longer challenging or rewarding, because Frank hasn't been brought up to date.

I think we're reaching peak levels of female characters in that tiny house. If the house was a mansion, it might not be so bad, but there's already problems with having so many NPCs on the map. 10 females, compared to 5 males.

Sure, some people just want to jump in, remove any challenge, and just have an orgy. The good thing about modding support, is those people can get that too.

I mean, I'm fine with there being options for gay stuff. My problem is that the sexual stuff itself is pretty damn boring. All of the women basically look the same naked, turn into lifeless dolls during sex, and there's a very limited amount of positions. And unless I'm remembering things wrong, sex ends pretty abruptly after the climax meter fills. Their updates seem more focused around making slow paced gameplay, based on limited narrow-timed obscure events that are easy to miss.

I haven't played the game in like a year, and based on the Changelog, I'm pretty sure all I've missed is new clothes for the girls, and maybe a few nonsensical quests that have no real pay off. The game has some funny moments, but the sexy stuff is pretty bland, and requires literal house of dumb crap to get to.

Are you presenting that as a real question, or just something more along the lines of the typical "look at me. I'm more PC then the next guy" fishing for like approval variety? Because real and straight up answer....yeah, pretty much. For a lot of the underlying aspects you went on to highlight in the rest of that post.

This game had already reached a reasonable content point a long while back that I think one can view *that* effort game, and the many years of it's designed content specifically targeting *that* straight male interest crowd, as being mostly done minus polish. *That* was a good overall effort game I've already spent many post her praising in the past.

Since that cut off point and once it decided to go completely off the rails of what made it popular in the first place? Meh. I personally don't see as much of a legitimate effort to "pander to minorities" being made here as I see an overall "it isn't over yet as long as we can keep reusing assets to keep this train going" throwing stuff at the wall approach playing itself out. Heck, once you get past the surface nod of including such, I'm even guessing more then half the people who legitimately desire that minority content are probably more generally insulted by the throw in and edit over effort going in to it. "Let's suddenly turn this character with a development foundation of being straight gay, or let you fuck drunk Partrick!" Yeah, real quality chase the carrot stuff right there.

Dollars to cents Office Party ends up being vaporware at this point btw
