Something changed in the network stack and many providers route the servers through russia where kemono.su is blocked, try with vpn or mobile network (for me Japan, Poland, USA (ProtonVPN) and mobile work)

I was unaware of that and my standard vpn route apparently pathed through that was wondering what all the 503 gateway timeouts meant the last couple days.
