So far it hasn't happened yet but the topic of NTR is a ticking time bomb, but to try to answer your question at least to some degree. most of the whole NTR vs no-NTR wars are pointless or stupid. Take the xxxNTRxxx tilted game with the "is the NTR avoidable" guy, then "oh I hate NTR why does this exist". what are they even doing in the form in the first place?
On another side you have either a vanilla game, or one that clams to be "NTR free" that suddenly has NTR. Now I can understand why people would be unhappy. Then you have the NTR fans with "get over it, Its just a game, your insecure, you must be a virgin, etc" and while some may not see it that way it is kink shaming in my opinion. vanilla is in since a kink of its own (is vanilla icecream not a flavor because most would consider it plain?)
ultimately I think the biggest issue is entitlement. We all have a right to our own opinions. It doesn't mean others have to agree with them, or in some cases it should be stated in the first place. weather a game can or should have NTR depends on how the dev handles it, the player base, and to a degree luck. Me personally I am ok with NTR in the game as long as its avoidable, and how it is handled. Now F95s version of NTR is only one of the many types and funny enough swinging, sharing "Netorase" isn't NTR by its definition, and Netori "you play as the one doing the stealing" isn't either

They aren't the only ones that stick around I don't like ntr but if a dev makes it 100% avoidable I will probably still try the game, I know I am in the minority but there are some people like me. But for the most part you're right, when a dev adds ntr to the game from that point onwards they are pretty much developing a game for mostly ntr fans. But my main point still stands you can have ntr in the game without the whole story/game being based on it.
It's all about fantasy, these games provide a way for people to live some of their fantasies, and people often don't fantasize about being cucked. It also has to do with the way people play these games, some people play them like they are just watching a movie and are detached from the characters in the game and other like to play it like they are the main character. I think that is one of the reasons why people also complain when you can't name the main character.

I never understood the naming party. it's like that game milfy city I think, you can't rename the female characters. why? what is the reason there? names are one of the most important setup, not just the MC but also everyone else basically.

I don't know much about coding but I think it's probably a nightmare if you have name variables for all the characters.

in renpy games should be very simple, then instead of using the name you copy paste whatever vari was chosen...

In general it "should" be that easy, but if you hard-coded the names then try to change it farther down the line it could be difficult. At the start is the best time to set it up as the bigger you make your game the more work it will be, and the more likely you are to make a mistake.

actually it should be super easy barely an inconvenience
1. doing this from the very start should be a default for most creators.
2. you know how sometimes you made a mistake and need to replace a word with another word or a fix? you enter the "pick word and replace all with new word" (not always effective but game makers have shorter names as default, say instead of "karen" you type "kar" at the start of said dialogue.
what is this hard coded name stuff? it's a file called "script". people don't make many of these for each character, for renpy game it's a single file. you can open it by force with a program incase the dev locked it and then make changes. I'm talking to the dev of milfy day right now who argued it's not that easy, but his game is in renpy vn form. he didn't answer me on the same question (my second point) so I assume he just doesn't want people to have the access.
TLDR changing characters names in renpy format is basically finding the script file and changing it. pick said name - replace all with new name - have fun. please correct me if I am wrong.

Well I am neither a renpy programmer north do I know python. In the program I do use to change a text to a variable is a harder then just doing a search for every instance of the players name and replacing it with a variable. One thing that could cause problems is if you use the name in places outside of dialogue, as a simple search and replace will change all instances. Now in what I use all text must be contained between two "" or ''. To add a variable in the middle of a sentence you would do for example
"word word word MCname word word" to
word word word" MC_name_var "word word"
Now if you have MCname_money as a variable "something I personally would avoid but I've seen it done"
you would get " MC_name_var "_money and cause errors.
as for changing the name after the effect " finding the script file and changing it " that wont help with making characters nameable in game. To do that you have to set up the name or names variable/variables place somewhere for the player to impute said name/s, have said name/s saved when the player saves and load and properly reintegrate said name/s on player load.
Now on the one hand if your game is not a codding mess it really shouldn't be to hard to do but depending on how you codded it can be time consuming. On the other hand a lot of these devs are novice developers that are learning as they go along. On the surface the game may look good and run well but underneath its a patchwork mess. One of the reasons we get these reboots/reworks eventually the bubblegum and duct tapes starts to show. The "simple implementation" is no longer so simple, or you may have goofed up so bad by trying you may break something else. At that point you have two choses. One spend time trying to work around your bad coding for an unknown amount of time, possibly making the problem worse to add a flavor feature or leave well enough alone and give the players more content.
This is all just my ramblings as I don't know the language. All I'm trying to say is for them it may be difficult even if it shouldn't be. and yes " doing this from the very start should be a default for most creators. "
