I downloaded the android version but when I extracted the zip file I can't find the apk.

Just rename .zip to .apk, then install the file.

From the Update Zip copy *only* the contents of the game folder into your existing game folder.
Don't copy anything from the lib or renpy folders and don't copy the exe/py/sh files from the root of the zip. These are garbage and/or from another renpy version.

Works fine then at least on Linux. Shouldn't be a difference for Windows.

If you mean for the protagonist, it does not. It'll only change the subjects you hace to study to pass the exam.

Do i need to restart again too? Or the saves still have the old patch already active?

I'm playing the game with the 10.6 patch on v0.11.0 for now and older saves seem to be working fine.
