Sorry if someone has answered this, but how do I get my saves from .14 to show in .20?
Assuming you're on Windows... Typically with ren'py games, your saves import over and are usable from one version to next by just launching the game. So, not to insult your intelligence, but have you attempted to load your old saves by launching the game before asking that question? This is our "are you sure you plugged it in" type check. If you've already done that, we'll move on.

Typically with ren'py, saves are easily transferable. Its like installing mods. You can add as many as you want, but you cant remove them from your save without causing issues. Assuming the save was placed in a place that didn't have content removed, you should be able to load it no problem, even with a big version difference like you have. I don't believe there's ever been a rework/removal of content in HS Tutor, so that shouldn't be your issue.

Ren'py saves are stored in multiple places. But if the saves didn't populate when you launched the game, you should be able to just copy your save folder - found in the "game" folder - from 0.14 to 0.20. If that didn't work, try checking your drive your OS is installed on (typical default is the C: drive.) Make sure you have hidden folders turned on in your windows settings. From there, go to C: -> Users -> (your PC name here) -> App Data (this is the hidden folder) -> Roaming -> RenPy -> HSTutor-1528126325* to find all your saves.

*Its worth noting I'm unsure if the numbers will be the same. All I know is I have all the saves I've made from Feb 2024 to now in there.

If, however, you're on a new PC, then you'll have to go to the old SSD/harddrive that you originally played 0.14 on, and grab the saves following the path above.

If your saves are gone, you can search this thread for a full save someone may have posted from around when 0.14 was released. And if all else fails, you can always play the game again and hold down ctrl to speed through the bits you've already read, though that is the most time consuming yet most foolproof method of getting back to where you were.

Worth noting this guide should work on every other ren'py game you might play in the future, if you run into this problem again. Hope this helped!
