I don't know if there's a specific saying, the phrase i usually hear is along the lines "a little clothing allows for some mystery" however this is only refers to women and usually the context is wearing lingerie is sexier than being fully naked.
so the funny thing is, i don't, i really do not, it actually kinda annoys me
however i purposely phrased it in a way to seem more neutral for discussion. an exception though would prolly be some kind of thigh-highs or stockings tho. for me i find it more appealing if shes naked, she's not hiding anything, she's more vulnerable and I find that sexy for those reasons, although i guess that applies more to real women than these animated ladies.It kinda irks me cos it reminds me of all those tv shows and movies where theres a sex scene and they do everything they can to not show her tits, bad lighting, arms in the way, bad camera angles, pasties and thats if she doesnt keep the bra on to begin with. no that's great, but who even does anything like that?? proper clothing physics seems incredibly rare. at most ive seen maybe a handful of scenes where the clothing is pulled aside or something. best example i can think off is i think Alenabyss had a Tifa animation she was wearing a buttoned shirt that he kinda pulls apart open and lets em breath freely, then pulls down her skirt.
