Also, why is it that every Female character in RE Village – safe for one – has a name ending in A :

Cassandra, Daniela, Bela, Alcina, Miranda, Donna, Mia, Angie [short for Angela], Claudia, Luiza & Elena.

That's not unexpected in Romance languages. It comes from latin. Female names, as many feminine words, ended in a more of then than not. Think "Marie" vs "Maria". French is an exception.

It's not just Romanian names, it's something inherited from Latin. French changed that, but other Romance languages kept it. Italians have it too, but they also use -a names for men too... I know Italians named Andreea, which is a traditional female name. Languages can be weird sometimes.

because the whole vampire culture comes from slavic cultures, where almost all female names end with the letter 'a'
Romanians don't consider themselves slavs, they see their selves closer to that of Italians. The most famous "Vampire" in the World Vlad Dracula is from Romania.
