I keep falling for Dual Family whenever I see an update. I get hooked and then disappointed all over again. It's a vicious cycle.

I was like this at first, then I realized it was only nostalgia even making me care if there was an update. Even if that game got regular updates, it's still objectively mid asf. The mom in that game is so hideous LOL
The skeleton that talks with the mc is the only good paet of that game.

I think the game that really got me to love erotic games is the good old classic 'Discipline'.
It felt really risky, I could feel the character put his body on the line. I got the "homo" ending first playthrough through because I was holding back and I didn't especially like "best girl" Otogawa that much. I wanted some side characters instead and Leona Morimoto if I'm honest.

Dusty's Castle. I think I had played other adult games at that point sparingly (interactive slideshows etc.) but that game was fun and covered a lot of kinks for me and made me realise how diverse the community for this kind of game was.

Browsing on Steam one boring night, I saw at the corner of my eyes "Breeders Of The Nephelym." I got curious and started playing it. After that I got a bit more curious and found "Acting Lesson," this really changed everything for me and the rest is history. I recently found this site after nothing caught my eyes on steam anymore, glad I did.
When i first played it, i also got the worst ending possible.
Being a naive teenager I still remember being soo invested in the story of each character. Glad I discovered it in during that time.
Leona is by far the hottest girl.It's just a shame, that we didn't see her in her signature red latex outfit. Plus I feel like being dominated by her foot would be a godsent for this game or hentai series.

It was Slice of Venture 2 in my case. Euphoria also played a huge role in getting me interested in H-games, I think.
There was also Demonophobia, but while that game has nudity and sex in it I don't think that it can be considered a porn game, at least not as what it's normally understood to be a "porn game".
There was also the German game about the young creek village, which is probably the best Western VN ever made. If you know, you know.

I love reading threads like these. It's always so interesting to see how different the starting point is for everyone.
For me it started out with Skyrim and The Sims 3 with a billion mods installed. Eventually I stumbled upon Dating My Daughter while it was still in development. I didn't love it but it really open the doors to these kind of games. It wasn't until I played Melody and Good Girl Gone Bad back-to-back that I really started to "get it".

Oooo Euphoria was one of my first too. I think that and Eroge! were the first 2 porn games I actually downloaded.
Before that was just a bunch of flash games with questionable tags.

Another for Leisure Suit Larry. But, like others said, it was more erotic than a true porn game. I don't recall the first one I tried, definitely some flash game on another website back in the early 00's, but the one that made me stick around was Big Brother.
Looking back, I would never play the game again. Among many other issues, it was way too much grinding. But while I wasn't a big fan of the incest plotline, I did really enjoy the various scenarios it presented and it made me realize there was some games actually worth sinking at least a few hours.
EDIT: I just recalled that I used to mod Super Deep Throat. So I guess that was the first one that really sucked me in, pun intended.

Fate/stay night was a major first for me. That was the first visual novel that I was seriously into, back in 2007/2008. I did try two other VNs before that (Maid's Story and Tsukihime), but I couldn't get into either (though I did get into Tsukihime after I had finished Fate).
Fate/stay night does kinda stretch the definition of 'porn', considering how little adult content it has. It's like calling The Name of the Rose a porno just because it has a sexscene (...even if that scene is still hotter than almost all hetero porn I've seen in my life). Still, Fate was my gateway drug to visual novels as a whole.
Utawarerumono also deserves mention. That was probably my first porngame that was actually a proper game, rather than a visual novel or some flash thingy. Together with Fate/stay night, this is one of the games that showed me that 'porn' and good, serious storytelling can in fact go together.
The gameplay holds up pretty well, too. I was a little bummed when I found out that both the story and the campaign are linear, but the game is solid regardless.
Though same as with Fate, Utawarerumono has so little sexual content that it's hard to call it a porn game. You can literally play this one for days and not find any sex or nudity - on my first playthrough, I actually spent nearly a week thinking I had accidentally downloaded an all-ages version.

Sengoku Rance was another one of my first porngames with actual gameplay. In fact, between this one and Utawarerumono, I'm not actually sure which one I found first.
Sengoku was a game changer in its own right, though. It was my introduction to the Rance series and Alicesoft in general, and it's just a really great game (even if I now think that Kichikuou Rance and Collapse of Zeth are overall better).
...and of course, there's the good old flash games. Frank's Adventure has already been mentioned, though the other Mausland games were no less memorable. Those and the Sex Kitten games were to 'proper' porngames what crayon scribbles are to art, but in between their over the top edgy humour and random hentai plucked straight from Google, they just had... a charm to them.
Sim Brothel was the same but without the ridiculous edginess. Looking back, I'm still impressed with how solid of a brothel management game it is.
Some of the flash dating sims were genuinely impressive, too. Simgirls, obviously, but also Overdrawn's Twinkle Revue. The latter is probably my favourite dating sim even today.
...and then there's Fenoxo's Corruption of Champions, which has already been mentioned. This was my introduction to erotic text adventures (...of which I haven't played that many, but hey, Xadera's Nimin Fetish Fantasy is still great). It's a really solid text adventure, even if I don't really like the direction that the game took later on. By which I mean the whole "lol horsecock futa furries"-thing.
In fact, looking back I'm glad that Fenoxo eventually just decided to pull the plug and write an ending. His heart wasn't in it anymore, and you can tell that he had lost interest in CoC around the time Trails in Tainted Space got off the ground. And considering how much Fenoxo became a charicature of himself, that's probably for the best.
I never got into TiTS or CoC 2 - I gave them a try, but they're both more of everything I already didn't like about the later versions of CoC. But the original CoC remains a personal favourite.
Lastly, I gotta mention The Tail Underground. This game was a first for me in that it made me realize that I was... probably not as straight as I had initially thought.

Some classic Japanese high school VNs > Da Capo, Shuffle! or Crescendo (which had a few serious drama moments) etc, even though I've grown annoyed with relationship drama moments in most JP visual novels and prefer light-hearted feel good stuff (the latter also for jrpgs in general). I don't know if there's been a particular stand-out as I had gobbled down everything that was not grimderp tragedy pron like Muv Luv Alternative or so and was at that time in paralell also "deeply" into shounen romance drama mangas , which contributed a good deal to my romance drama disdain
