The one who obtains the Holy Grail will have any wish come true.
The Holy Grail War. A great ritual that materializes the greatest holy artifact, the Holy Grail. There are two conditions to participate in this ritual: to be a magus, and to be a "Master" chosen by the Holy Grail. There are seven chosen Masters, and seven classes of Servants; beings akin to super humans with incredible fighting abilities. There is only one Holy Grail. If you wish for a miracle, prove that you are the strongest with your powers. Emiya Shirou is a high school student who has learned rudimentary magic from his father and uses it to fix objects. He finds himself engaged in the Holy Grail war as he gets attacked by a Servant. For anyone reading this thread wondering if they should play this or not, if you ever wanted to play a visual novel this is the one to play. Actually it can be a bit scary if it's you're very first visual novel but there's no visual novel that comes close to this. Tt spawned so many games, anime, manga, fanfic, fan made games, novels.... Really large fucking list. This is the highest ranked game on VNDB for a good reason, the community loves it, so give it a try.

PS: If you're in it for hentai be warned, the main focus is the story and characters not sex, the sexual scenes are few and far between IF you activated them with the patch.

That's the original version of the game and not Realta Nua version which adds story content, visual updates etc... I say this because the newer version isn't just 1 .exe. That version while it has voices and might be uncensored it's using voices ripped from the PS2, it's just old.
It's not hard to install if you read the .txt and understand how windows works.

I was going to post some info about the patch on this subreddit once a new update came out, since the current version has some problems (likely to be fixed very soon new version now out). I guess I'll post it as a comment here instead:

have been working for some time on inserting the Mirror Moon translation of

into the newer 3-part downloadable edition published in 2011-2012. The patch is now considered complete (though some bugfixing may still be going on) and it does much more than just insert the old translation: it's probably the best way there'll ever be to read F/sn. The features of this new, patched release include:

• full voice acting;
  
  
• original Mirror Moon translation ported into the newer version of the game (with some corrections);
  
  
• so called "H-alt" scenes - they replace the original F/sn pornographic scenes along with associated dialogues;
  
  
• new Réalta Nua-exclusive scenes translated for the first time;
  
  
• retranslated and retimed additional "Last Episode" ending;
  
  
• restored unused voices;
  
  
• unused CGs added to the gallery;
  
  
• all new Fate/hollow ataraxia-style visual effects;
  
  
• (optional as part of the H-patch) original pornographic scenes added back in (switchable on and off via an in-game config along with associated dialogues) as well as H-scene decensoring (also togglable);
  
  
• (optional as part of the H-patch) retouched H-scenes with compatible effects, music, and voices from the H-alts incorporated into them;

is the "pure translation" version of the patch. That version should be suitable for ages ~15+ (the other can be as well, but only in specific configurations - this one is more of a no-brainer).

Some related notes: the 2012 PC downloadable edition of F/sn allows you to play the routes in any order (as they are 3 separate applications), but the strongly recommended route order is: Fate -> Unlimited Blade Works -> Heaven's Feel. The patch allows playing without Japanese locale enabled, but only if the path to the game exe and the exe itself contain no special characters (usual suspects include the slash after "Fate", the special "e" in "Réalta" and the hyphen-like signs that surround route titles). • I struggled with this for over an hour. Here is a quick instructional on how to install all this stuff.
  1. Obtain Fate/Stay Night Realta Nua (you'll know which version based on

     . The game will be split into three parts, based on paths of the game. Edit each folder name so that there are no '/' marks, same thing for each game. Example for Fate would be "Fate stay night[Realta Nua] -Fate-.exe
     
     
  2. If you lost your product key for FSN-RN, apply a crack to each game (Fate, Heaven's Feel, Unlimited Blade Works) so that you can play it.
     
     
  3. Download the english patch by Mirror-Moon, specifically the 'mega' link (unless in the future they move it somewhere else). Included.
     
     
  4. Look in C:/Users/YOURNAME/Documents or a 'My Documents' folder on the left (Windows 7). Look for a folder titled 'faterealtanua_savedata'. If it already exists, delete the contents.
     
     
  5. Drag the 'faterealtanua_savedata' empty folder from Mirror-Moon's file into the Documents directory. Paste in the contents of 'English Patches' and 'H Mod' (H Mod if it's legal for you to view pornography) into the savedata folder.
     
     
  6. Make sure there are NO subfolders in the savedata folder. It should look like something like

Wow, I remember playing this almost ten years ago. It was the very first visual novel I ever played. Gonna give it a download and go through that Realta Nua stuff; I recall trying to find that Avalon scene with Saber on YouTube but it might've been untranslated at the time.

Japanese H-Games consists of so many Visual Novels that aren't worth playing (because it's boring). I haven't played this one, but if you say Fate/Stay Night is one of them, does this mean that there are nothing else in the game beside reading and picking choices? just like a regular visual novel? What i mean to ask is, if Fate/Stay Night is just another VN, then you could just save me the time.

Unlike Rance Games from Alicesoft, because they offer something else other than reading a story.
EDIT; My bad for comparing Rance Games to any VN, Rance Games isn't VN at all. just wanna put out that I prefer game like that rather than VNs

Fate is a pure visual novel, some Rance games, Bunny Black and the sort have other elements such has dungeon crawl, light rpg elements, cardgame etc. And no Rance games are visual novels, they just have other game mechanics but they are at their core visual novels since Alice Soft is a visual novel developer, take Sengoku Rance who has a turn-based tactical combat system + the conquering aspect, but the main focus is the visual novel element.

if it just pure VN, it will make the game very uninteresting, very boring, waste-of-time type of game.

Exactly it's your own opinion, it's the same thing if you asked me about horror movies, you could tell me it's the best horror movie in the world and most people who enjoy it would agree but horror ain't my cup of tea.
