I'm having problems with patching the game as well. When put the faterealtanua_savedata folder in my c drive documents folder nothing happens, the game remains untranslated

never mind I found the solution posted by a user here, the folder was in my onedrive not my c drive.

Quite the same, I did play a bit but don't remember why I stopped. At some time I was waiting for Ultimate update and lost track of it.
I check website about Ultimate and found those info:

When the Steam release of 「Fate/stay night REMASTERED」 is released, and this patch is updated to support it, initially, only changed archive, image, audio, and video format support will be implemented.

Feature and script-wise, they will remain as with previous versions of this patch.

New versions of the patch will remain compatible with the old 2011/2012 base game (containing files with file extension .xp3) until it becomes unfeasible to do so.

I also dig on Remaster and it don't have H scenes, so you might just grab old version and patch it with ultimate.

Is it normal for Saber's lines not to be voice acted? I am on day 3 when she is summoned and fighting Lancer. When they finally stop to chat, none of her lines in my game are voiced, but lancer's still are.

I did the normal install, and then did the Ultimate patch on it to merge and threw in all the patches. But maybe I missed something.

Edit: never mind! In config I clicked on voice and her face was grayed out. I clicked it and saved and it works. I dunno how I managed to turn it off in the first place.

Same, only 1st route is working, I'm reinstalling the game to see if it change anything. Just got a Win update yesterday, it could have broke it. Have you tried compatibility modes?

Edits: After few tests the issue is related to datasc.ksd and datasu.ksd, you can run one game only once, after you get this screen, no idea why. Saves aren't affected but you need to delet those 2 files from faterealtanua_savedata folder each time.
When you get this click on OK, then on the red button with a cross on the "control" window, if you close it manually click on the left button on the new appearing window. This will exit the game otherwise it stay open and you need to use the task manager.
Clicking on the "control" window yellow arrows gives me a C++ error, could some package needing reinstallation?
Haven't tested Ultimate Edition.

You sure it isn't some kind of locale/extraction-related issue? The fucked up looking code doesn't look English or Japanese.
Try extracting with non-unicode before running with the emulator. If you're on Japanese locale already, double check the extraction settings.

The patch is now considered complete (though some bugfixing may still be going on) and it does much more than just insert the old translation: it's probably the best way there'll ever be to read F/sn. The features of this new, patched release include:

is the "pure translation" version of the patch. That version should be suitable for ages ~15+ (the other can be as well, but only in specific configurations - this one is more of a no-brainer).

Some related notes: the 2012 PC downloadable edition of F/sn allows you to play the routes in any order (as they are 3 separate applications), but the strongly recommended route order is: Fate -> Unlimited Blade Works -> Heaven's Feel. The patch allows playing without Japanese locale enabled, but only if the path to the game exe and the exe itself contain no special characters (usual suspects include the slash after "Fate", the special "e" in "Réalta" and the hyphen-like signs that surround route titles). • I struggled with this for over an hour. Here is a quick instructional on how to install all this stuff.
  1. Obtain Fate/Stay Night Realta Nua (you'll know which version based on

     . The game will be split into three parts, based on paths of the game. Edit each folder name so that there are no '/' marks, same thing for each game. Example for Fate would be "Fate stay night[Realta Nua] -Fate-.exe
     
     
  2. If you lost your product key for FSN-RN, apply a crack to each game (Fate, Heaven's Feel, Unlimited Blade Works) so that you can play it.
     
     
  3. Download the english patch by Mirror-Moon, specifically the 'mega' link (unless in the future they move it somewhere else). Included.
     
     
  4. Look in C:/Users/YOURNAME/Documents or a 'My Documents' folder on the left (Windows 7). Look for a folder titled 'faterealtanua_savedata'. If it already exists, delete the contents.
     
     
  5. Drag the 'faterealtanua_savedata' empty folder from Mirror-Moon's file into the Documents directory. Paste in the contents of 'English Patches' and 'H Mod' (H Mod if it's legal for you to view pornography) into the savedata folder.
     
     
  6. Make sure there are NO subfolders in the savedata folder. It should look like something like

this seems like a fairly good explanation, I really wish japanese didnt just censor nor changed things when making a new version, but having all the options available, both old and new is a good alternative to it tbh, ill play the remaster version before giving these a try later on I suppose
