my brain doesn't function with tech stuff, so i'm not sure those will help you because i installed random stuff until i could finally open the game...

I think all mods must be downloaded and note that some files are corrections of previous mods so it can be tricky,

And may only work on 1.01 version

(and there's more mods like this one

something to bare in mind when playing these Japanese games, its not ALWAYS to do with the system, changing your system language and keyboard and can actually make things awkward on your day-to-day use. Because most of these games come in a RAR file, they need unpacking, but sometimes WinRAR will unpack these files without knowing Japanese letters. So the file names come all randomised and garbled.

Just remember to change WinRAR to Japanese, theres a setting where it will unpack the rar file in the correct language

Everything got up and running like a charm, I've played many rpg maker games and run local emulators and rarely have a problem. The original VH does require a hard local change, but so far this one did not on my system. ... well until now.

I love everything about this dev and game, BUT it plays more like a visual novel than a "game" There are very few real branching choices or play style preference. Sure you have virgin run, aaaand not virgin run. All quests are preordained and linear; even the passage of time and menstruation seem tied to quests.

It begins to open up a bit when you have to collect 3000s in Act II to buy information. There are 3 quests to choose from and a few side jobs, but still most doors are blocked and map too. I don't like how exploration is tied to the current quest. In the older VH you could fight a Minotaur on day one in the arena, or get in trouble at the bar. This change from an open world to visual novel is very pretty and well done!!! But still a big change that as an old fan of VH I did not expect.


So now I've hit a problem and cannot progress. I've done a bit of digging and no luck. NW.js seems to bug out. It's popped up though entire playthough so it may not be connected to this bug. When speaking to Sicilia with 3000s to buy information the dialog bugs and wont display. At this point my next step is to hard change system local and unpack game and start all over... all that dialogue all that liniear visual novel. Kinda killed my excitement

the error message I get:
"Your profile can not be used because it is from a newer version of NW.js.

Some features may be unavailable. Please specify a different profile directory or use a newer version of NW.js."

I went and got the newest NW.js and didn't change a thing. Not sure if I need an older version or how to change directory. Probably just the local change and re-unpack that I need to do. No results came up when I searched this thread so maybe this will help others with same issue.

worked like a charm replace in game folder/www/data

Oh I am also getting a weird error when first doing the scene with the guildmaster in the second city, dunno how to take pics so I'll just post what I can.

Failed to load: img/pictures/PC001-ero054/PC001-ero054-03-(moonspeak)A.PNG

Seems the picture is missing and not sure how to fix this.
