Personally I don't get it I can't say that during my life ive ever remotely considered to possibility of being friends with a partner's ex.... Even then I can't say I've been with anyone that's remained properly friendly with an ex and if they did if be like wtf is going on here

So cool of you to give out that type of advice.I am not gonna leave a (negative) review for now, as this game actually can be turned into a good one.
Just a friendly note, given by another dev who is in business for years right now:
-> You have way too many paths. Even more, because you are doing that so early in that game.
In my humble opinion, you want to take way more than you can chew.
You either will have basically "no content" per update, or you will have updates once a year.
Where i understand why you want to do all that pathing (to please all the different kind of kinks), you will not satisfy any of them in return.
Better do 1 path, but do it straight to the end, or at least have some decent amount of content. Once you have a steady full-time and optimized workflow, you may go for multi pathing. You also will need some help from other render guys.
Just for comparison:
In our games, we work in a core team of 4 guys, plus 2-3 aditional hired render guys - and we would never ever do such a branching - even less so early in game.
