I've never played the original, but when I saw the Universal Mods worked with this, had to give it a try, and glad I did.

i tried "sister" it don't seem to fit.. hell they don't even live together, Nor gives off vibes of being related.
I tried "cousin" also don't really fit either.
It seems they don't suppose to be related at all.
She also said MC is her best friend. So to me, my head canon is best friend aka childhood friend.
so I put her as friend. Makes the most sense IMO.
But it is up to you.

And you would be right about it... if the story wasnt changed? Now that I checked it myself, you can add her "relationship" with her, which wasnt in the original and she was defenitifly portrayed as a Childhood friend. Now? After I typed "Sister" it gets me the message im her brother now.
But now im also confussed. I dont mind both ways. Im into wincest but Clarissa was always this slightly interested/in love with the MC as a friend. Perhaps it was back then only to cover against the TOS from patreon? Dunno.
The game actually recognizes a few options. If you put Clarissa as the girlfriend for example, the player character will automatically become the boyfriend. Most of the options don't make much sense in the story, though.
Like, you can have them as boyfriend/girlfriend, but they act like their relationship is somehow taboo. You can have them as childhood friends (also the f95zone special kind (the game recognizes this one, too)), but they don't even seem to live in the same neighborhood. Cousins would probably make the most sense.
cousin if u want incest.Like u said if put sister it is would make sense,they live in different house and change the plot.

Usually when there is a choice like "what is she to you?", that's usually a pretty big hint that incest is canon, so I initially went with "sister". However a lot of the dialogue feels more like childhood friend makes more sense. Like, Clarissa doesn't live in the same household, or how it's "Clarissa's mom" even if you chose the "sister" or "cousin" variable. Another moment that comes to mind was the "Corey vs. Steve" convo in the girls locker room. If they were siblings or cousins, then it seems like the other girls would have teased Clarissa when she made that comment about him. Like "Oooooh Clarissa wants to fuck her
inverse_clarissa_relationships!!!, but they didn't do that. They just simply told her to pick from two other guys....but then she mentions bathing together as kids which is usually an incest trope, and that dialogue is the same whether she's a sister or childhood friend. So its like 90% feels like childhood friend, but 10% feels like they might be related? A childhood friend with a really really close relationship growing up?
It's hard to explain, but usually when incest is intended it's usually more obvious in the dialogue and that it was changed for patreon... but it feels like the opposite in this case. It's like she was legit written to be a childhood friend, but the dev added the incest option afterwards for the sake of fan service for incest fans. Pure conjecture but that's the way it seems to me.
Eh, anyway I think I'm vibing more with her being a childhood friend, so I'll probably just redo my saves lol.
