Don't see others mention it, so maybe it's a bug, but I got no indication what you can interact with. If that's how it is I recommend adding that as it's hard to find out what doors or spaces you can click on.
I think you mean in chapter 0 when you need to get the folder?
This was a test if this kind of movement would be better then the choice menus.
I don't have time now to change it and it is only in this part for now.
I will definitely keep your suggestion in mind if I make something like this again.

Should be, only got out of the classroom, but decided to come here and check

You can click on Ms. Smith, James the door and out in the corridor on the door next too the stairs and after the animation on the blue folder.

This can work well but it's best if when the item is moused over it glows or has an outline. If you want to make it really easy then have the intractable items have an outline all the time or when a certain key is pressed.

If done well this method can be more immersive and interactive then menus but it is harder to do well.

It is definitely more work and I don't have the time for it.
I need to optimize my output if I won't to get a update out ever 2 weeks.
That's one point why I decided to go with the menus.
