Thanks for the find Joe ;),that was what I thought.
So I went for it a bit. I refined the bumpmap (smoother and smaller), adjusted it, especially the arms, since they are usually out of position when just converted from other games and reworked the hands.
The bumpmap is used as BumpMap2 in MaterialEditor. I also changed the GlossMap, to make it a bit sparkly. The definition can be done under skintype (don't use the MaterialEditor for it unless you allways intend to do it there)
Here's the result and the maps:

As for the question how to do it: Most use 3D-software like blender to do it, painting directly on a model. I myself have close to zero experience with blender, I edit the textures and maps manualy graphic editor (The Gimp). It's not easily explained and it is not done in 5 minutes, so much I can say. Took me a lot of Try and Error to get at least where I am now.

I spend more time tracking down mods from new cards that drop, than <Ahem> Playing the game. If anyone could help me out with these elusive mods.
