Hey again mates! I have a new lass I wanted to share with yas, as well as a few new things I've learned about creating in Honey Select 2 this month.
First is them big ole foreheads on most Honey girls...

You hate 'em! I hate 'em! How to fix 'em?? By cranking down the
Overall > Upper Head Scale to 90 and then
Upper Front Head Scale Y to 110. I was able to lessen the high forehead. Of course THAT made her head a flat on top! AHHHH! What to do now!? Crank down the
Upper Head Scale X to 90!
Too easy, hey??

Now for the primo lesson! Have you ever wanted to use your own eye textures and embed them into your
custom character card?? Of course! You can add custom textures to the default 3 heads using Manly Marco's Eye Overlay plugin all day long, right? But what if you want to use a CUSTOM head??
I talked with Manly Marco about how to get his "Eye Overlay" plugin to work with other head meshes. He said not possible without reworking the plugin. Dilemma! I hate dilemmas. So I kept experimenting.

And then I figured it out.

If you ever want to use custom eye textures like the ones I found(and have attached to this post) to heads that are NOT the basic default heads like Marco programmed his plugin for, here's how you do it!
You must open the Overall > Material Editor (ALL) window! It is here you can manipulate the textures for the character's EYES, the same as we normally do with clothing and accessory textures!

You will also need to dial down to zero the opacity of the normal eye texture the game supplies--or you will have two eye textures in concurso!
Eureka!!

If you are like me and want more realism in your honey, this is a great way to get there. In discovering this, I also learned how to embed custom eye materials found in third-party mods you may not have like this custom Tifa eye material from Xeyniu!

All you do is choose the custom eye material then back in the Material Editor (All) export it, then import it back under the Texture2 or Texture3 designation. That will embed them directly into the character's card metadata! I also attached my favorite iris and pupil textures for you to play with.
We learn something new every day we live. Glorious.
