the log file report some errors, but none of them where critical:

My guess is, your machine/pc/laptop can't handle some old scenes, specially those ones with multiple folders. Thas was and old techinc in doing scenes previous to the VNGE engine. you see, you make an scene with two or more actors, the scene is 9 chapters long, so we have in total 27 actors to load when a scene is launched. the correct way to save those scenes is to disable/hide the non-active folders and save. I have do that for you, make a test and report what you find.
Additionaly, disable all graphics enhacers, Hanmen and DHH. Hanmen's late plugin has been reported to have bugs
