PlayClub is pretty much HS1, but with seriously outdated graphics. I know the same could be said of vanilla HS1 if you compare it to DDH HS2, but to me, HS1 with IBL/LRE still looks as good as HS2. Personal opinion, of course.

I personally don't think HS 2 is better than HS 1, with LRE HS 1 is same as HS 2, sometimes better but as I mentioned before exclusive features unique to each game gives the edge of favor. I don't like HS 2 cause body meshes aren't improved and realistic enough to my satisfaction, they look same as HS1. Even 10 year old skyrim has mods that include better high poly body meshes than HS 2.

We fully agree. I doubt there'll ever be an AI2, so, let's hope that HS3 is the improvement to the meshes and overall graphic overhaul to justify making the switch to it.

Even HS 2 with DHH or Graphics mod still I think HS 1 LRE is better, It's been proven several times like in this post #4,953, I mean don't take me wrong HS 2 is a solid game at least as the better repack version.
AIS is a different game it's more performance heavy than HS 2 because it's open world and has it's own unique features. it deserves a sequel.
Yes I agree with you let's hope HS3 will do better.

One improvement that HS2 had over HS1 is the acknowledgement of futa fans. The only way to get futa on HS1 was either through the model swapper, which makes the futa larger and looks odd since they're essentially female fitted on male skeleton, or studio. Dong accessories exist, but the futa would still play the female role.
Koikatsu was the next best thing, as there's a mod that allows transgender loading, as in loading female on male slot in studio and vice versa, but only HS2 so far that adds the feature built in. Strangely, you still can't transgender load on the studio, despite the main game allowing futa as male.
ILLUSION in general seems to not really like their own improvement. Don't know if it's the engine limitation, resources limitation, or something, but some of the features includes the 3P and 4P, ahegao, built-in blindfold and gag like in PH, and the passerby watchers along with the voicelines. Honestly, the last two alone is enough to make me keep PH around. It's probably because these cost money to record/license if due to contracts the voices from PH can't be reused, which is also probably why ILLUSION abandoned the Darkness mode on Koikatsu.
Still, I will give unlimited credits to ILLUSION for figuring out how saving stuff onto a .png works. It is truly their magnum opus so far.
On an unrelated note though, does anyone know of a scene sharing website other than the 55b55, the official ILLUSION page, kenzato, pixiv, or discord?

Well, since I only use Studio nowadays, and there are rigs with invisible males that allow you to load male poses onto female charas, I don't see much of an issue there when it comes to futa characters.
By now I have over 400 gigs of mods installed for HS1, switching to any other game at this point is almost pointless to me. Regarding sites that share scenes, I think you gave out the main ones, I¡ll just add this in case you don't have it:

AI Shoujo is a survival sex game. The basic gameplay is to gather resources to built better tools, build a house, feed your waifus, and of course, fuck. It's not as fun as it sounds and the game is terribly optimized. HS2 is just a sex simulator.
The mods available for each game are almost the same, though there are a few mods exclusive to one or the other that eventually become available for the other.
Find the mods on the Illusionsoft Discord server. Should be a link to it on each of the main game threads on here.

Illusion games are great to fuck a waifu, but I really wish it was more than just a sex sim. Also why doesn't Koikatsu have footjobs in the game without mods? WHYY

Seems like Koikatsu meets Sexy Beach so far, but it could just be Koikatsu but on beach.
Well there's your side, and there's the other side where they only wants the sex sim part, and it seems like that one is more popular, considering the popularity of HS2 over AI girls

Are there any news or rumors for a new Illusion game?
I really enjoyed AI shoujo and the survival thematic with the ability to build stuff around and the interactions with the characters was a little limited but it gave you a decent grade of immersion, hopefully Illusion will implement a better AI in a future and maybe a few mini games a la Dead or Alive Volleyball.
Honey Select 2 Libido was a big jump for the mod community, lots of customization options and maps, unfortunately the immersion was lost and the small amount of voice options make the game repetitive after some time, you can even remember and repeat some Japanese lines here and there.

Had my morning coffee.. and responded to a thread that should have gone here.
But Ultimately.. it's the thing that happens to everything once it gets popularty.
1.) It got slow decrepited and dinosaur like. (The database of attachments got to a size that every crash caused it longer and longer time to fix the indexing. I mean if it goes down and takes 3 days to rebuild the next time it's 4-5 days...)
2.) Doomed by it's popularity. More users. more data. more drama. more threats. more fuck-ups.
3.) Hacker/Scriptkiddies wanna "cut their teeth" on sites they think are popular.. (I mean fuck go after College Humor or CNN.com if you want fame..)
4.) Bought out and sold out to advertisers and other commercial intrests. (if you had a website with a DAILY 50,000k users and 200k Visitors that averaged 30min - 2 hours.. Umm.. That's a least 10 million Euro right there. Even if you got a hard core loyal fanatic zealot fan base to sponsor your content... at $10 month (so, $500,000? 1/2 million). Cashing out is a BIG temptation. Server costs? Administration? Day to day shit? Whining/Bitching users? DDoS and new formats/web standards/non-stop tech bullshit? Fuck no..
5.) War. War never changes. Consider this "TreeD Sex villa produced by Thri XXX" is 20 years old. (give or take a year and people are STILL doing TK17 shit. btw. Modsgarden.cc was a huge site.. and I mean fucking HUGE. one day POOF gone. ether. GIGs of posts and content.
Simply Evaporated. Now the Outcasts and Exiles from Vault 13 move forward. With Documents and .PDFs and their dreams of the company that was Interplay Entertainment and the studio InXile. They continue to seek a home for their beloved G.E.C.K. The Garden of Eden Creation Kit. They had left Sierra adventure games and the Ultima Series games.. Bitter. After the tragedy of what was Fallout Online, The Griefers, The Trolls, The Power Man Server admins, They pushed forward, meanwhile the machine gears of corpo entities continued to hunt. Time went from bad to worse. With Tide Pod Howard driving the franchies into ruin. Fallout 76 of what some would say the peak of corporate hubris some reskining of Fallout 4 with network code strung together from dental floss pulled out of a dogs ass. The threats continued to grow even larger. Even the bastions of graphics designers, programmers, modders who were not given the seal of approval had their memories wiped along with their hard-drives wiped. Few Traces remained few CDs/DVDs and HDDs remain the ones hidden from prying eyes, survelience, and the over-arching global domination of once a simple operating system company whos idiot in charge once said. "640 K [not giga, mega but kilo bytes.. of computer memory] ought to be enough for anybody" now pursued global domination in banking and dominition over countries. What the future will hold.. we don't know but we know it won't be good. Not brother the stars do not burn for you. And the sands whispered across the planet.
Really, There comes a time when the fan base can no longer get it up. No matter how much meth and viagra they take. Nostalgia only can carry for so long and the winter always arrives. The Full body anime pillow ink has faded into nothingness and only lonelyness follows.
Yeah, I know pearls to swine. But someone will get a chuckle getting hearing that narrator..

Who says we can't do such a thing.. However it will require programmers and developers to set aside their egos.. (and THAT is the worse thing people can not do.. Too many fights between Unreal, Unity and other engines.. Besides, will it give you a world that can blend RimWorld, The Sims X and Illusion games?) I must say no.. unless you are F'ing a drow girl to make peace for 2 colonies to reach harmony it's pretty much impossible...
Oh and when I say drow.. I mean drow and elves... and NOT canibbal orcs.
Based on the info I've seen from Windows 11.. Everyone is going to have to be comfortable with VM and working in shadow profiles. .. it... is... NOT.. good.
