Whats funny about them needing a translator is that the post update that was shared is in perfect English? Are they translating to a different language from English or vice versa?

There's nothing funny about that. You can be as mad and frustrated with the dev as you want, and I get that, but the truth is always more nuanced than one might imagine. From the dev themselves:

The dev said that he (or she) is looking for a translator to get his (or her) thoughts and ideas into text, yet he has used a translator app to convey what is happening, which has come across very well, despite English not being his main language. I was simply saying that if he used the same translator app he maybe would not need to seek anyone else's help (which is probably not for free). I get that maybe translators don't understand the nuance of "her oozing like a stream with love juices" and that may not come across right due to the limitations of the translator.
I am not a dev, I don't have the brain capacity to develop a game and as I have said many times previously, I am prepared to wait because this is an excellent VN. I have also been subscribed to him on subscribestar for a number of months.

They are looking for a writer, not a translator. They already have one. I’m not sure who’s missing the point here.
Why is this dev speaking like AI hasn't been a thing since 3+ years at this point. Even if he doesn't use it for the game itself, he could use it to communicate and make progress reports by directly translating from his native language to English and literally any AI website out there will do it for free.
Why is he pretending to live in the stone age where he needs someone to translate his tongue to something else and then in turn translates to English... Like WTF is this lameass medieval 15th century excuse?

Why do you assume AI is a magic bullet for every single problem? It’s not — it’s actually the opposite.
