Yes. Because that's what patreon is. You give money to a random person in hopes that they will work on whatever they work on instead of finding an actual job. There are no contracts signed. You can complain, but it's not justified.
It's not justified? don't suppose you're a petreon grifter...... Of couse subs can vent if they are paying for content that takes 7 months to deliver and is so short it's a joke. Where the dev deliberately makes misleading statements about the progress of the game to retain subs.
It's not justified in the sense that the developer doesn't owe anyone anything. What do you think happened to the 1 billion abandoned games on here? The people making them just decided to stop making money or they all died? No, they just got an actual job or found another way of generating income.
Even if the update is short or it takes too long just be happy that the developer got enough money to make it. The game as a whole wouldn't exist without sites like Patreon and generous people with disposable income.
You are free to complain, but you are wrong about there being anything inherently wrong about the slow updates. Hopefully you understand what I am trying to say.
I guess the issue here isn't the lack of release/update, its more the lack of an update on progress, and then when an update comes out, time has gone backwards and instead of it being 70%, its gone backwards. If we look at many games on here, an update is pushed out with minimal content, so people moan...the dev says fine, i will do a bigger update further down the line, and people moan because its taken too long for an update, so the dev cannot win at all. As I said a few posts ago, patience young Padawan

This "update" is 140 static renders long btw. Took 6 months.
I hate to call milking but I feel like this is the case here. I don't see how not speaking english properly translates to such a low output amount.
It's a fucking shame, as this is one of the rare few good dark games on the site.
