I don't know if it's the universe that I'm not a fan of, or the I guess intentional propaganda presentation of it all? I see that it's supposed to be anti-totalitarianism propaganda or something. These characters aren't really any poorer than say characters from any medieval peasant high fantasy story but the presentation makes them ostentatiously wretched.
Yeah 40k is a parody of totalitarianism so it is anti-totalitarian. As for medieval peasants, you are right there, they aren't any poorer. But that oversimplifies things in that medieval peasants did not need to have a lot because you did not need to spend or even did not have anything to spend money on. They also did not need to work as much to stay the same level of wealth. Unlike in 40k wherein they literally (not even figuratively) lose parts of themselves just to remain poor. So yeah they are ostentatiously wretched.

that's exactly what 40k is though. it's not for everyone.

the term grimdark was popularized by 40k's tagline "In the grim darkness of the far future there is only war." it refers to a subgenre of fiction with a tone, style, or setting that is particularly dystopian, amoral, and violent. very, very few fictional universes approach 40k in the shit scale for the average citizen. badly written 40k even ends up getting called grimderp wherein the suffering is toned up to 11 for edginess’s sake or is just plain stupid like "millions and billions of guardsmen dying per SECOND". this game however is just the correct amount of grimdark which is why most of the 40k fans here like it. this isn't even the WORST example of an imperial world.

i would say its decent by imperial world standards :BootyTime:

like there is one election and in game and everyone and there grandpa is manipulating voting. like opposition is basically bought by enemy faction i do think it also share some problems with democracy.

The quest with Leparla could be improved:
At the end of the conversation with her, after declining her initial offer, the auditor should be able to change his mind and get Treaumont the second position.

I see this game has an AI CG tag now. Haven't played the last few updates, is this an actual thing in the game? Whiel I'm generally skeptical of AI CG the art in this game is pretty much the only thing keeping it from being up there with BADiK/Carnations/Eternum/CoBD in terms of quality.

95% of scenes are made by hand and then are fed to ai to make it more beautiful. its also optional you get option to turn it off and you will get no ai cg for 95% scenes.

I have not finished this yet, but this is exceptional writing, especially for a porn game.

If I have any complaint is that I kind of dislike the artstyle, but its good enough for what it is.

I will keep my eye on it.
'Good enough' is all I can realistically hope for. Thanks for playing!

Love the game, but with these patchnotes about stuff getting cut to be tacked on later, I'm thinking if I should skip this update to get the full experience later because the seat conversations for example, wouldn't we miss them if we play the update now? Also, will an update ever break saves? Those really are my concerns, thanks for all your work, again, love it so much
Safe to say you won't miss. I added a completely new intro for the game this update, and existing saves can still play it retroactively from their room - I want to do that for everything. And updates will NEVER break saves, I built the game from the ground up to never break saves! I hate it when saves break... I know some players are still rocking OG v0.1 saves in 2025 today.

dude this is goddamn GOAT qualityy, cant wait for the development, stay strong devvv
Thank you, and trying. The laughing gods are sending maladies my way, but the Imperium Remains.

I find it weird that a person of our stature can't just be "corrupt" or "indulgent" and give the little tavern lady a slip authorizing her to be given proper prosthetics.

We are shown to be able to given really high value suits of armor to the Suretes at the drop of hat for example.
Agreed. The eventual Casla story will follow this line of thinking... I think the immediate problem though (and my cope is) that Javureck literally doesn't have good augmentics, the local Administration office has a supply closet instead of a warehouse, mechanization is just not present out there. Any slip will need a trip down the rails to act on it, and that's a whole adventure in of itself.

I very rarely if ever post here; I'm more of a long time lurker. That I wanted to comment really shows how much of an effect this game had on me. Can't really think of a bigger compliment to hand out at the moment.

While playing through the game, I also noticed a few words that were missing or sentences that didn't sound right and I've taken the liberty of grabbing a screenshot when I noticed. I've uploaded the screenshots . I hope this works!
I'm by no means an expert, -English isn't my first language-, so feel free to disregard it should it not prove constructive.

I'm sad to hear that the plan is for you to tell this story, or a similar one, without any sexual interactions: as it stands, I do feel like they add a lot to the game: this feeling of the overall melancholy and loneliness that gets pushed back a little bit each time, in its own way. Not really raging against the dying of the light, but still doing... something...

That being said, you are clearly onto something with this "Disco Imperium" game, so I'll be there regardless. Thank you!
Thank you. That's a wonderful compliment. I've used your document to help me do a bunch of editing this update. Goddamn, there was a misspelling in the CHARACTER SELECT SCREEN for TWO YEARS...!

Not opposed to this. Do you mean during the regular route, the Panoply "I know what you are" route, or just, there should be a second chance after she gets to explain her reasoning? I agree, that it's not quite right to put all the dialogue where she makes her House sound sympathetic after the major choice - but that entire scene is a horrific clusterfuck of code, it's a bottomless pit of madness, I modify it at my peril. And I will, but didn't get to it this update.

Lol. I was planning on developing a game by myself which is based on the famous anime called One piece, it is an indie game so yk no artist as I don't how to draw so I thought of using ai. But to be honest Idk anything abt how to generate a model and images we want and how to get a CG for scenes and all so if anyone would be so kind to guide me, I will be very grateful!

True I thought about that too there are many ways you can take her story towards mechanization or traditionalism.
