AI in games is at the start of going through what CGI in movies did a couple decades ago. Useful budding technology in the hands of a good artist that also allows the worst and most tasteless to shovel out glossy fake looking shit in excess until audiences started saying "I hate CGI, that movie was bad because it had too much CGI in it, not another CGI-fest". To this day filmmakers always try to hype up how many practical effects they're using because people are still so mentally scarred by all the slop.
I love seeing a use of it like this where OP is img2imging his own sketches with his own custom style, but people will have a certain reaction the instant they see 'AI CG' regardless.

Come on...you can't deny the AI CG in this game is noticeably more generic than the original art.
CGI is not comparable because that's actually created by an artist, AI is just ripping off all the art its been fed to create "new" art, or overlay existing art.

Weird question but is the name of the Sector the game takes place in ever stated? I've been trying to catalogue all the game's original setting lore cause I think it's super unique. I might use it for a Warhammer RP campaign.

Which is why I had "people don't like rendering artists irrelevant in bulk" as one of several reasons, not the entirety. If you go through the threads here that have AI CGs in them, you'll see most of the complaints (when they show up at all) are with how it looks cheap or the same as other AI generated content, rather than being an ethical objection. I included it for completeness' sake. I'm well aware that this is a site dedicated to "sailing the high seas," as the saying goes.

Because developer ain't using such thing as dangerous, heretical and basphemous as Abominable Intelligence to do his work. He's using but a holy machine spirit to aid him is his holy craft in the service of the Imperium.

Joke aside, AI is just a tool, just as much as CGI was back then, and before that a camera. It's the man behind the tool who is worth of judgement, be it hate or be it praise. Saying blindly "I won't play 'cuz AI!" is simply ignorant behaviour, because someone is using a tool to ease his pain or speed up his craft.

Though I think you forgot to add an exeption on when going into ruins because the option doesn't vanish after doing it.

Same thing with the Idufs i think after exhausting their options their option doesn't vanish.

You're not the first to report that issue with the ruins. For the life of me, I can't replicate it... this will be my new white whale, surely. Every update I'll load up the Tisrec and fail to bugfix it.

At this point I'm starting to wonder if the sex scenes are an encumbrance to the game more than they are contributing. This is an extremely credible Visual novel that portrays the 40k universe with more authenticity and grittiness than a vast majority of other 40k games out there (and there's A LOT of them).

In a just world this would be blazing on steam with the sex scenes gone and the game standing proud on its own feet.

But who am I kidding... people want the fap material.

To be clear, this is its own universe - but thanks. That means a lot. And your vision is kind of the plan, eventually. My Itch page has made a surprising amount of money (more than 0!), so a SFW version is on for the future.

I honestly think you should just ditch the ai. The uncanny, model-like appearance of the ai characters clashes with the setting and generally looks off. It seems like you have the talent for it, or if you don't trust yourself yet doing that work will allow you to develop quite fast I think.

I understand why people lacking patience turn to ai, but I feel you're already at the point, or else so close to being able to deliver strong work with your own two hands that using the ai is just holding you back.

Herscz is a girl. Her portrait's existed in the files forever, but iirc you only get a glimpse of it with Fortress Unbarred. Her - or her replacement - will have their story continued fairly soon.

Hah, glad you've been along the whole ride! There's an Intersystem Inquisitor, sure, but things like the reflection you saw in the soupline are just part of Imperial life and afterlife. They couldn't kill everyone who knows a little of that - but they don't know enough. People have pieces of the puzzle, but only really important factions like the Mécanique and the Imperial Fleet have any real sense of the truth... the Administration is surprisingly ignorant here. But our Auditor will learn.
