I found this game of all places on the comment section of a youtube video discussing Disco Elysium inspired games and I got curious about it, and I gotta say it looks pretty promising. It's the kind of game I'd be interested even without the porn, so I'll be keeping an eye on it.

I wish they would finish the game. I just discovered it and it's already a few years in production. And still there are placeholders all over. Some of which are really ugly. AI art doesn't help either - these women look too fine contrary to the plot.

Apart from this the story is more or less captivating. I only played in Disco Elysium like 20 minutes, but immediately recognised it as a source of inspiration. It's only good - character cards are really interesting, even if it's still VN and these traits only do as much as a different perspective to a scene, with the same result. It took me a long time to choose between the Apparatchik and the Panoply with 'psyker insights'.

I suppose the question is what can we do. It's not as though we can just call her our bodyguard and she hangs out with us wherever we go. Not like she can just hang out at our place either. Plus the soup kitchen defiantly doesn't need another Ganger there. What do you guys think, what can we do if she does decide to take an offer to pull her out of the likely death of that Ganger War?

A most glorious game. I usually steer clear of games where I see the AI CG tag, but I am glad I checked this one out! Wish I could see some more explanation on the stats somewhere (Might well have missed it), but they are pretty easy to understand from context.
I fear this might veer into sounding a bit condescending, so apologies if that is the case, but this is the sort of thing where I imagine what it would look like with a properly funded team behind it. Like, imagine this in full glorious Disco Elysium style. Walking around the Hive City, sorting through your thoughts etc, etc. Through I do think Renpy is working well for it!

The game was abandoned for a little over 2 years before the developer miraculously came back to continue working on the game. So actual development period of the game as of now stands at about 1 year and 2 and a half months. So it's a pretty reasonable pace considering the developer isn't making all that much money from the game which makes it a side thing at best.

I get it. I really do. I know what it feels like to come home fucking exhausted, especially if your job is a bitch. Being able to do anything creative on top of that is already a minor miracle. I get the patience thing too. My own artistic ambitions were obliterated by the twin dragons of perfectionism and adhd. And if I ever made something, hell I'd probably end up using ai too. Commercially it makes perfect sense. Wanna make 3k a month off patreon these days all you have to do is shit out some garbage ntr kinetic novel with all ai art and a paywall. But you didn't go that route cuz presumably you have some creative desire. And art's always been a balancing act between making what you want and putting food on the table. So I get it.

Whatever you go with, I just want you to know that you do have that potential. That you are on the cusp of greatness. That even if it has to go unfulfilled for practical reasons, that spark is there.

That's a very reasoned thing, thank you. It is a bit demotivating at times to see garbage straight-up-copying-X-artist AI card games makes 10x money as me in 1/10th the time, but... comparison is the thief of joy. I love making this. Maybe one day it'll work out. The spark is there...

Another dose of good filler. Its very good. I didn't see any coding errors. My opinion is you should turn some charachters into side pieces aka 2 or 3 variations meetings + 1 rejection where you end up having sex whenever you feel like. Like your planning with the Elevator girl.

Nice. And what you're describing will be the ultimate filler stuff while I work on v0.3 - going back to the girls that were meant to be repeatable, and making it so. Elevator, tavern, a couple others...

You can go into Preferences in-game and turn off "AI-NSFW" to see the "base" human-drawn art.

I'm glad Mori mentioned they'd had a fresh burst of inspiration in the dev notes section, this is something really special among the sea of slop wegs/vns in circulation now

You're right to be worried, it's getting bloody down there - but she's a surprisingly popular character, and Syrene is starting to collect gangers like cards... or something else might happen. v0.3+ thing.

Awesome, thanks! And trust me, I think about that too. What is creation if not forcing, squeezing your imagination through the pinprick hole called what-you-can-actually-make-in-reality? Although with modern technology the ability of one person to bring their vision to life has never been greater... who knows where we'll be in a bit.
