Warrior gets a bunch of extra scenes and can generally come across as a boss bitch.

Bookworm has even more unique content Vampire guardian anyone? and special scenes, like the extra stuff with Lia. And just generally really shows off an Elis with brains.

Whereas Mage Elis does what? Has some special portal adventures every now and again, and has like 1 or 2 couple of things with Elin? Big Sad...
Yeah the paths really aren't balanced well at all, which sucks. Like bookworm gets a decent bit more Lia, but I don't want to play bookworm, so I already am sad I am missing many Lia scenes cause of stupid class system.

I honestly hope going forward he kind of just forgets the classes for the most part, or find a way we get other skills in those paths, so we can just do a bit of all.

Cause if dev isn't going to give equal treatment to the paths, might as well change in some way or pretty much forget them all together for most part.

And with us entering chapter 2, could be a solid soft reset to just focus on choices and other things being the branching rather than classes that are unbalanced and unfar.

Same, I always, always pick the wizard/sorcerer class in pretty much any game or adventure.
My friends are almost always the type to pick the fighters/rangers/barbarian archtype, and just want to smack things...So it works out well for me. As somebody has to do the CC and AOE damage. :ROFLMAO:

Thing is these are kind of pointless? I have 0 idea what are they supposed to do and I have always felt them totally out of place.
Yeah I love this game. But I'm really not sure what the overall plan and payoff is for all this mage portal stuff. It does indeed feel really out of place, and like something that could just be dropped and replaced in favour of getting some different kind of content with the mage. Or tbh, maybe just finding some way to do away with the class system in CH2 entirely.

This game has enough branching without having a class system tbh. LM could maybe even swap it for a 'stat system' instead. Like maybe something they use in ORS. But just have it as Brawn, Intelligence and Wisdom or something. And maybe we can get a few extra points to start with depending on which we chilhood focus we pick for Elis.

Just an idea.

haha I always tend to pick the wizard / sorcerer and try to make them into a hybrid of a sort magic + a good melee fighter like some kind of jedi. But sadly battlemages / sell swords rarely work out how I imagine it. However kind of works in this story just need to get better at the magic part.

It is very, very game dependent. Skyrim, for example, just grab a fucking bow until I become Vampire Lord. Then it's happy hour!

haha that game I try do everything if I even make it past the greybeards with my 300+ mods. but yeah it is very game dependent if you can do that kind of build or not in a way I like.

Oh I'm aware of the power of the girlboss archetype. It's just that I still expect a male half-elven mage, to at least be able to match the power level of a level 3 wizard. But my boi Elis, doesn't seem to really do shit as a mage.
I still think this is Alaina's fault, she probably botched the MC's magic education on purpose so he wouldn't become too powerful to the point where he could surpass her. Elin is also half elf but has a power level as great as her mother, perhaps even higher considering her portal shenanigans, because she had a good education at the mage tower. Hmmm, wonder if Lia also would be a powerhouse if it wasn't for her disease, she must have some dormant powers at least...

We can actually think of it for a little more than a minute and actually recognize MC did not have mage training for most of his life and he was a drunk manwhore for most of his life - no way in all realities this kind of disdain for both magik and brains can take him to a better place. All MC got was melee rehearsal where his guide beat him up and the ways of his lands - he is groomed to return to court and royal heir life awaits him - so actual Merlin/Gandalf like devotion to the arts is outta his wheel house.

The story would be amazing if we could take Valeria as a concubine it would make the family conflict escalate and become even more thrilling
As opposed to her bieng the cum dump any time anywhere, while having full blooded and half blooded elves in the family rooting for her?

Am I correct in understanding that the twin sister's threat to incinerate Elis's wife is not enough? :KEK:

Filipis I played your remastered version for a few minutes. Disclaimer:
  • English is not my first language, so take whatever I say with a pinch of salt
  • I don't understand a single word of Russian, so I can't compare your English version to the original in Russian.
The English is much better in your version than in the original. I can't even imagine the amount of time and effort it took to do it. Kudos!

So far I noticed the following errors or things I'd state differently:
  • There seems to be a Ren'Py mod installed; it popped up the first time I booted the game.
  • & → and (e.g. Val: [...] consolidating & centralizing [...], and Val: [...] days & nights).
  • Val: And, out of spite - or sheer hubris - had all the imperial [...] → And, out of spite or sheer hubris, had all the imperial (italic inside dashes is too much emphasis IMO).
  • Val: [...] So much so, that few even believed [...] →
    • Few even believed
    • A few even believed
    • So much so that a few even believed
    • So much so that some even believed (if the people who believed something are few in number (1, 2 or 3), I don't think it would warrant the use of "so much so").
  • Val: [...] large army of malcontents from all across the Empire →
    • large army of malcontent people from all across the Empire
    • large army of dissatisfied people from all across the Empire
  • There are quotation marks at the end of some dialogue boxes (e.g. Val: [...] large army of malcontents from all across the Empire." and Val: [...] acquiesce to this future.")
  • Val: Thousands of swords and spears pierced thousands more bodies → Thousands swords and spears pierced thousands bodies
  • Val: The Emperor was soon found mortally wounded in his chambers by his youngest son Regis - who blamed his elder brother for the patricide → The Emperor was mortally wounded in his chambers. He was found in his death throes by his youngest son, Regis, who accused his elder brother of patricide
  • Val: And with the support of a small group of nobles threw him into the dungeon, overnight becoming the closest thing to the crown of the new Emperor → With the support of a small group of nobles, Regis threw his elder brother into the dungeon and almost became the new Emperor overnight
  • Val: The trial went as expected: Regis condemned his brother to death, depriving him of his right to the throne according to the ancient laws → A trial was held and his brother was found guilty. In accordance to the ancient laws, Regis stripped him of his right to the throne and sentenced him to death
  • Val: A vast majority of the nobles and clergy →
    • The vast majority of the nobility and clergy
    • The vast majority of nobles and clerics
Please let me know which suggestions you found acceptable and which ones you didn't, so I can learn what to filter out next time :)
Thanks for the feedback! My main priority is fixing up grammatical errors, typos, and sentence styling (like the rogue quotation marks), but I will take into account your cosmetic suggestions as well (keep in mind that, sometimes, a sentence is phrased "unusually" so it fits neatly into the dialogue box)

Did you enjoy all the non-cosmetic changes? Like the reworked pathing for the romances and expanded dialogue sections? I urge you to replay the remake multiple times, each with a drastically different set of choices made - I added a TON of references characters make according to your previous choices.
Bookworm is powerless neophite with both magik and the sword - useless in all departments where his mom, his real dad and his siblings excel. Yet a lot of players choose it for the perks of the companions he gets on that path.
I can only speak for myself, but the reason Bookworm is an attractive option for MC is because it makes him less clueless about the politics & world around him. Almost makes you feel like playing Tyrion from GoT, whereas other paths have MC constantly rely on others for explanations.

...or we haven't been given the chance to kill them YET.
Snakes are very important characters in the plot.
If one snake is definitely Cass, then there's a chance the others are Mother or Elin.
We just haven't been given the chance to kill them YET.

And yes, Alaina could be considered a snake; her influence on the plot is overmuch.
Conrad is definitely not a snake, simply because his plot significance is less than that of Cass and Alaina. He clearly acts as a "catch-up" for Alaina's ALREADY accomplished plot deeds.

From the way the prophecy is given, the snakes are already major players not major players in the making, unless there's a huge plot twist I'm not counting on the family members being snake, although I can see them being used like Alina did Cass.

Cass isn't a snake because she doesn't hold importance like Alina, she was manipulated and used as a tool and her death wouldn't really affect the bigger picture as far as I can see. So removing Conrad from the picture, the only snake so far is Alina (mother by extension but they count as one).

So each chapter might show a different snake and its influence in using a member of the family to influence the MC.

Cass is the only confirmed snake in the game, at the moment. Everyone else is mere speculation. Not only do both entities comment on her death. She's seen in one of the three cages this update, if you killed her and saw the vision.

??????? Cass is the one person absolutely confirmed to be one of the prophecised snakes so far, did you play the latest update fully? If you go after one of Elin's friends during their trip to get the ingredients for the ritual (the one that carries a coffin), she will show you a vision where Cass appears inside one of three cages if you killed her, whereas the cage is empty if you didn't.

Do I need to choose a specific interaction to get the vision, cuz I'm pretty sure I didn't get anything from una

Not sure, I just choose her both times while on the camp and on the second she took me to a lake to "look at the moon" and the scene started.

Yeah I just did that now and got the vision, didn't see that in my previous runs didn't think it important, this gives me a new looking into everything.

If Cass is the snake of the throne ( not Alina as I previously said seeing as she's the manipulator) she's also the one Miata warned about.

Then Elin might be the snake of the cradle?? That's gone be tuff, might be tied to the whole mage thingy.
