So as I continue to give context to these preview images, with this next one, MC is clearly joining his favorites ladies as they are doing some furniture shopping for his sister.

She is in the market for a new table, but isnt sure what would be a good one to suit her needs, looking to MC for suggestions.

Their mother, in the meantime, is indicating that big one would be good and sturdy, able to support a fair amount of weight as needed.

Like a stack of books.

Just innocent and wholesome family time! :D

Dude, MC is the emperor. He can have his concubines. Hell, he can marry the sister too if he wants.
MC is not the emperor yet though. He's still just a regent with a strenuous hold on actual power.
If he manages to return from the west with the allegiance of the western kingdoms / democracies his hold on power will be much stronger.

But even if he were to be crowned King he can't really go around marrying anyone just yet, because the family of his wife wouldn't really like it. A nobleman marriage is a game of alligiances after all, and the north / south are lands you're looking to annect anyway.

I believe it will happen, but much later in the story.
I promised Cass I will marry her and hellbent on keeping my promise.

Did you first make her your sex slave to accomplish that? LOL but honest question too
You get the option of telling you'll marry her in a flashback from when you were child.

In my main save I agreed to stage the coup with her so we're partner in crime.

Feudal power is based on a chain of people looking up.

Propriety and Courtly Protocol are a show of strength and order. To abandon them is to show the finger to the agreements that bind liege and vassal. If you can't honor the laws of the gods or your society, how can anyone expect you to honor the agreements that make up the realm?

That's one of the many reasons why large feudal empires often have a very strenuous peace.

And that's before you add people deliberately looking to sow distrust, cause chaos and gain power by any means. Or things like popular revolts. heresies, those damn merchants and their money, military dissent or the church.

It's why many empires become extremely bureaucratic, because a calcified bureaucracy furthers stability. The bureaucracy will always protect itself after all.

So no, the emperor is not the most free to do what he wants. In many ways, the eyes of scrutiny are always on him and make him the most bound in the kingdom.
The power to change that comes with time, trust and allies.

Look into Lothair the second trying to trying to marry Waldrada. That's a similar situation in regards to laws and propriety that should be pretty simple for a man with his power, but isn't.

He just got started, and the father still hasn’t kicked the bucket yet. But once he consolidates his power I think is plausible.
I guess you brought Lothair cause of the similarities of this world VN to medieval Christian Europe. But it still isn't medieval CHRISTIAN Europe. And outside of it there has been rulers with multiple wives. The dev can make it work if he desires to.

I've got 3 main paths with the 3 choices of bookworm, mage and warrior. Currently they focus on the sister that matches with the skill. Married the North for for Elin and Lia, and the South for Cass. Did that one third and and really liking Isis as a wife and partner even though she rubbed me the wrong way in the beginning. You just have to man up and dominate her and she falls right in line. Still need a path to dominate Cass as well since she has been holding the reins a little too hard so far.

I really wanna see Cass and wifed Isis interact. They've never even met.

They're so similar yet distinct. I believe they would hate each others guts at first, but if they managed to get an understanding of each other they would make an impressive alliance.

They have met. If MC is reluctant to work with Cass, Isis shows up to tell Cass she has something to discuss with MC. It's also how you get to decide if Isis poisons her or not.

Ok I've not seen that scene because I'm NEVER reluctant to work with Cass. :KEK:
Anyway I meant a scene where they interact with each other when you're allied to both of them.

I was just saying that they have met and interacted briefly, depending on your choices. But yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing them interact more. Isis is a sexy ass demoness though. I wouldn't be surprised if Cass intentionally keeps her at a distance. That poison scene showed how much of a monster she can be compared to Cass. It's like a Lioness vs a house cat.

This is the Red Emperor path, which has the most content ISISxCass. Isis kills cass, she tolerates no competition and must be the only women whispering in your ear.

It is the best path in the game IMO

Lol alliance... Let me show you :
The fact about Isis is that she truly is devoted to you. She made an all-in on you and will protect and fight for you. She already said she wants you to kill her family to annect the south. She has no hesitation killing Cass if she believes she's a threat on you.

Cass is the same. In fact the reason she killed her own father was to protect you. Her end goal was always to make you king.

That's why I'm saying their end goal align more they differ and would make a powerful alliance.

The mistake you are making is to compare Feudalism of this game to Feudalism of Western Europe. While there are strong cultural similarities with Western Feudalism, the matter is that the Dev is a Russian and in Eastern Europe Feudalism operated in entirely different manner.
And how they differ? In Kievan Rus' (ancestral Russian State) the ruling King was a powerful warlord who pretty much did anything he wanted. Rurik created Kievan Rus', Igor raided Constantinople, Olga massacred Drevlians, Sviatoslav invaded Constantinople again, Vladimir Christianised Rus' despite having something like 7 wives, and Yaroslav enjoyed the Golden Age of his people. Then things fell apart.
And mind you, this game is far diverse than both Western and Eastern Europe ever were. There are elves, Republican western cities, Scandinavian north, and Arabic south (plus east which I won't remember). If you become the gigachad and control all these diverse lands, having extra wives should be no problem.

This is how you learn history on a decadent porn forum guys!
