Most of my stuff is on Deviant Art ( ). And yeah, about the botanical books, I'm also very interested in herbalism, so I guess it shows a bit. The plant she is holding and looking at is Valerian (Valeriana officinalis), a play on her name.

All in good time. ;) I'll admit to not liking Elin a lot, but at least she is not planning to perform a coup (Cass) or actively scheming (Alaina) like some. She just wants to bang her brother, which, in this case where everybody wants to bang the MC anyway, may be forgivable.
DRAW CASS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

My thoughts (not a review, but summary of my "love" route for most lovers and "white coronation" playthrough...

There are typos throughout the script.
There are a minimum of 5 lines of dialogue that are not translated to English - per chapter of the game.
There are summaries between chapters of the game which have non-translated text.
Some of the choice variables appear to be mixed up, with dead characters popping up as if they had never been slain. Mentions of events happening that never occurred.

Overall, the art is very well done, with about 10% of the still renders and 5% of the animations being "sandpaper" pixelated low-res renders.
The story begins bland and boring, tedious to slog through, but gets better as the game progresses.
Much of the legalese about royal customs and traditions were lost on me. Confusing and incomprehensible references and assumptions by the writer that "everyone knows" about such things. Not everyone.
Every crowd shouting scene has audio out of sync with the lines of text. So a line of text "Emperor! Emperor!" / "Prince! Prince!" / "For the Golden Order! For the Iron Will!" shows, then the next line, which plays the audio of the crowd shouting that text, instead of the audio playing at the same time as that text on screen.

In general, the relationships were strained, but effective. I was immersed as much as possible, until the non-translated text appeared or the out-of sync audio played.
I do hope that part 2 of this game will have more frequent image/animation changes. There were quite a few "group" scenes with a single still image and 20-40 lines of dialogue or narration. The image did not change at all, which made it feel incomplete.

Overall, I enjoyed the game, but felt let down and confused when the dead character popped up without anyone noticing or being surprised they were alive.

I'm confused by all the prophecies / "suggestions" from other entities.
  • The starting prophecy says that either I should not kill any of the three snakes or I should kill two of them. If I kill one, then the remaining two will strangle each other and myself. If I kill all three of them, then I "will fall into the abyss".
  • The Red Emperor (human part of my blood) wants me to favor only humans (not even half-elves including Elin, so he is in the anti twincest faction). And to break the cycle (stop "the wheel").
  • Mierda Mirta (elfin part of my blood) wants me to favor elves. And to keep the cycle going.
  • The exhibitionist I meet while going to the West wants me to kill all three snakes, and since she's speaking on behalf "of all the souls trapped in the eternal cycle of life", she wants me to break the cycle (by killing all three snakes) and side with the Red Emperor, right? And she wants me to thrust trust Elin (pro twincest faction).
  • The cat that approaches me while I'm in the West, who is also Ludwig's master, mentioned that he warned me, but when was it? I don't remember. Anyway, it wants me to not thrust trust Elin (anti twincest faction), else "everything will perish. Forever", which means that the cycle will break, which implies that Ludwig's master is against breaking the cycle. The cat also wants me to stay neutral in the conflict between Conrad and Alania.
  • Selina is obviously in the twincest faction and wants me to break the cycle, so she's with the Red Emperor despite him not liking half-elves and being in the anti twincest faction, and with the exhibitionist. She also hinders Mierda Mirta while she's showing me a vision, so this strengthens her being with the Red Emperor.
Did I miss something or got something wrong?

The cat that approaches in the west is the same creature that appeared in the starting area to give that "Three Snakes" prophecy.

The Red Emperor actually congratulates you if you "do the deed" with Elin. I guess incest is wincest for this guy.

Wonder how the dev plans to make us want to side with the elves. Can feel sympathy for their situation but near every elf we encounter turns out to be a terrible person
