During this time, the number of renders featuring Cass has significantly exceeded that of other characters. Dev knows who our favorite is.
I punished her back in the early versions but didn't come inside, now she's treating me like the Elven Messiah despite being afraid of me the last time we met. Is that supposed to happen or did I glitch?

I'm more curious how the MC is in it, i really don't like the MC act like a lunatic, like when he kills Cass or in the latest as he kills one with the chalice...
On my 2 main runs Cass is either beheaded or poisoned.
I feel like Elin will just kill Cass then

yeah those are my 2 least favorite paths for Cass. I just can't kill her I may not like her on coup path but I don't blame Cass for anything she has done really. I dislike the mother and Alaina more than Cass on that path still. I even put some blame on the mother and Regis for the way she is.

I would say yeah. It's supposed to happen. I tested it out myself when I tried to see if there was any other variations to the scene. I guess Val can forgive the rape as long as Elis doesn't impregnate her or let her suffer. She does get off of her crime rather easily. Being under Alaina the entire time.
Before the update released, there was discussion on how Val would be handled. As she has some variations. But surprisingly, the dev did a lot. Especially when Val is a side character that almost has no relevance to the plot. It's surprising that she could be pregnant at all.
So basically, the answer is that Val is a side character and likely could've reacted different. However, since she's mostly irrelevant to the main plot. The scene itself is likely the true outcome. Even if the dev wanted it to be something else before settling on it.
Ah good to see that CORRECTION works, I just hope the dev lets me dick down Alessa too, take "Get used as a cock sheath by the Elven Messiah" off her bucket list too.
Honestly for Val I mostly did it because she had the gal to kick me and attempt to escape because I said I was going to tie her hands again.
This made me replay the scene where I tell the court to go easy on her to check. She outright says "you're not a saviour you're just another cruel human" I think the dev really did just miss/forget a state because Val doesn't come across as the type to think "well he could've killed me but I'm grateful that he only used me for pleasure instead" this woman took being restrained as a prisoner after being caught stealing a horse as a personal affront.
Don't get me wrong I'm at least glad I got to see some Val content instead of being locked out of it because my specific choices were too niche/the dev didn't think enough players picked it to bother making an entire scene out of but if he's going to cut off the branches this way he should have some filler dialogue for the 'made her my personal bitch but didn't knock her up' players to smooth it over. Just something along the lines of 'You were right I was into it, I love being dominated by you'

Yeah, it was something that stood out to me as well when I tried it. That's why I thought that she likely was supposed to react differently, but because she's a side character. I don't think the dev was going to go any further with it. As most people likely creampied her at least once. And since that's all that is required from Elis to impregnate most women, including elves. Val stood no chance.
Maybe the dev will fix that later on though. When the game is nearly fixed and some of the dialogue gets touched up. But for now, I guess Val is okay with the rape. She secretly enjoyed it, I suppose.

While obviously in the main game, I find it unlikely that LM truly intended for it to go that way. I think he just coded pregnant-version of the events to happen if you came inside Val, and the other version to happen if you didn't - LM probably forgot to account for the fact that you can also rape her without impregnating her, which then leads to this dissonance in Val being happy to see you after being raped (possibly even twice).
It's most likely something he has or had no time for - to create a special "third" version of events, so it is what it is. Once I reach that point in my remake, I will make sure to make a third one... but to be honest, I'm not sure I can pull it off since I can't make actual new renders, and the existing ones very clearly belong to the two polar extremes of treating Val that this third "neutral" version doesn't fit in.
