Well done, you naughty little monkey, WELL DONE! I must confess, I rather admire this cunning dev for refusing to serve up easy choices on a silver platter. Knowing that soon—oh, so soon—I’ll likely have to choose a side, Cass or Isis, it shatters my fucking heart… and that, is the essence of a badass drama: agonizing decisions, brutal regrets, a touch of blood, and huge doses of forbidden incest. This game, oh, it stirs the soul, igniting fierce emotions and bold opinions—from breathtaking passions to some users itching to ship elves off to gulags. In short, a magnificent game, masterfully crafted, utterly sublime.

Frankly I can't really see why she wouldn't be trusted. If she wants power and ambition than staying loyal to Elis is actually the best thing for her, even when Cass tries to ally with her she kills her but also leaves Cass alone if Elis tells her too.
Wait, Cass can die? tf?

Only game-thread I've seen on here where guys are actively interested in the game and story haha
Check out Superhuman. People on that thread should've become scholars instead of hanging on a porn site.

Why is the MC written as such a bumbling idiot who luck fairy'd his way into the crown whenever Cassandra is around? I get Cass's story needs someone to be condescending with but I feel like the MC is a toddler finding out about stuff: "why are we going to your ancestral home to gather an army?" "why did you kill that 12th person in a row that you said didn't need to die?" "Gasp... You lied to me for the 32nd time" .... shocked look face. Come to think of it he's pretty much that way in other conversations with other characters too. Not sure he should be Emperor at this point.

That is a valid complaint about the MC’s character. To this day, and especially the Green path, he’s a wimp that relies on Cass to do all of the planning and political scheming to get out on top; it’s not much better on other paths either. The dev justifies it by saying the MC has no experience in court whatsoever (which is true)… but then again, neither did Tyrion Lannister and he owned that shit.

Hopefully, CH1 was just one long setup, and MC can start creating his own circle of trust to use for his reign as king: something like that should be a massive help in trying to legalize your harem of sisters/mother, as well.

It's also worth noting that on the white and red paths, MC behaves more maturely. And again, he'll act like a jerk if you decide to be one. Of course, there are moments when he behaves foolishly, but then again, he's been indulging in drunkenness and debauchery for a long time, and then he was told he had to rule an entire kingdom.

If we draw real-world analogies given his age:He's not as good a ruler as, say, Alexander the Great or Octavian Augustus, but he's also nowhere near as terrible as, say, Heliogabalus or Edward II.

Again, I hope the game will further reflect his personality changes.

Is he acting more maturely or is he just more self-serving? He still greatly depends on the guidance of others, and is following instead leading.

Well, Tyrion grew up with the most scheming man in the Westeros, besides, his physical incapabilites excluded him from the martial training his peers had hence pushed him to books and learning etc. Also, Tyrion is not a ruler, but a schemer himself, therefore comparing him and Elis is not the most logical thing here. Though I get the idea; both are hedonists and grew up without any bits of paternal love but the thing is, Tyrion is probably two times smarter than Elis, as a matter of facts probably the smartest mfer in the books. Also, no one loves the schemers -even worse, a ruler one- whatever their intentions so its wise to leave the schemings to shady ones (like Cass!).

Tyrion and Elis would get along like a house on fire probably lol.

As of now, we chose the future ruler of the West, given the choice of marriage candidate hence the maritial ally and just in last update we kinda chose between Alaina and Conrad...? Which probably will decide the future of the court.

Well, unlike the Green Path, where Cass makes many decisions for him, on the White Path he has a wider range of choices. We decide for ourselves how to act and who to support. We want to try to prevent bloodshed or take sides. And again, the idea that he's more of a follower than a leader right now isn't entirely accurate. The big decisions are still his.

Wait, does Elis on the Green Path even get to choose between Lords and the Rebels or no?

Even on the Red Route, the MC isn't necessarily incompetent; he simply indulges Kas. On the one hand, he's unfamiliar with court politics and lacks trustworthy ministers; on the other hand, he relies on Kas and her home lords to form his initial team. On the Red Route, the MC also has two options: dominant and submissive. This is the second set of DS choices in the game, the first being Aurora or Isis. Isis's tough stance isn't yet apparent, but there's no doubt she'll be heavily involved in government affairs in the future. If he chooses the Red Route and marries Isis, a conflict between Cass and Isis is inevitable.
MC is clearly underprepared and needs guidance from political mentors. After so many years in exile, it seems he hasn't received much training, and being so far from the palace, it's understandable that he's unfamiliar with politics.
