Not really. On average, his progress updates were still closer to 5 days (compared to the average of 4) before 1.1 slowed things down. Which is understandable, as the plot has become incredibly complicated to manage between paths (the sheer amount of dead/alive characters on its own demands a lot of resources).

And while this management still leaves a lot to be desired (LM is not perfect), he is still one of the fastest & most consistent devs on the market. Subscribing to him is money well spent. I've been his Patron for nearly 2 years now - never felt like he was stringing us along or not delivering what was "promised".

She's been plotting in the background for decades, but Alaina is neither all powerful nor all knowing. She's been opportunistic, co-opting others' plots to stay relevant and able to plot, but she's not behind everyone's agenda.

She saw it coming from a mile away, even took steps to not get caught in it according to the conversation she has with Cass in the jail after she fails the coup, and didn't help us at any time during it even though supposedly the culmination of her plans hinge on putting us in the throne. And she still tries to manipulate Cass again even after she fails, so yeah she is running something else in the background here and had a hand in the coup, everything you yourself cited points towards that.

To be fair, MC grew up with Cass - she is his sister just as much as Elin is, despite the “thinner” blood between them. And with the new look in CH2 (from the latest preview), she’s definitely giving Elin a run for her money in the #1 Wife spot.

That said, we need more character development and relationship discussions between characters; MC should remember the promise he made to Cass that he’d marry her and make her Queen one day
