Nice update, the long-awaited twincest sex that was promised was finally delivered. Was not excepting Elin to be that naughty, ngl.
I hope he can acknowledge the kid as ours once MC gets more powerful, no way wanna people to think that Lockhart impregnate Elin, can't have that. I missed Josephine in this update, I think it would be better if her won the vote and the Queen got all the attention on the next update. Her scenes are starting to feel a bit repetitive because their relationship hasn't really evolved that much in the past updates.
Maybe because one of them isn't supposed to 'exist,' their other half is forever cursed to love unconditionally the other half. That would explain why Elin was in love with the MC even when they were just kids.

Agreed. From what I gather, the Queen was never meant to have lewd scenes in 0.9, so it stands to reason that 1.0 will have us feasting with Queen scenes - hopefully a real step forward for their relationship. No more handjobs or kisses, it's time for at least blowjobs or willing cunnilingus!
I subscribe to this theory as well - Elin & Elis are supernatural twins in some way we don't understand yet, and what the cat means by saying "her love is a lie" is that Elin is somehow compelled to feel romantic love for Elis.
Don't worry - I asked Lazy Monkey himself over at Discord, and he confirmed that pregnancy won't be skipped over with the timeskip for CH2 - in fact, it might even skip a bit forward in time precisely to show the girls pregnant, and give us some cool interactions between MC and the women he knocked up.

Hey, perhaps it's like Yennefer in The Witcher, that there is a supernatural force behind their love, but remove it and you find out they still love each other anyway, it was real.

If the timeskip in chapter 2 jumps 18 years in the future, I'm like 90% sure the next update's gonna be full-bloom sex.

Nope. Like I just said, the timeskip will not be so massive as to completely skip over showing us pregnant women that Elis already knocked up from the start of the game.
Not to mention, it would completely blow up his slow-burn relationship with the Queen, that has been brewing carefully over the last 3 updates.

Fucking loved it! Really, great game. Finally a game in which MC is not fucking perfect and each character has very well defined personalities but still grow.
I will definitely keep checking on this one and support if I can in the future.

Is there a consensus on "best" possible path ?
To me it seems a lot gray area, and my original PT is essentially fucking as many girls as possible, which seems that will have consequences.
While I like Elin, the entire incest seems forced, dialogue wise ? Maybe Elis is also affected by whatever affects his sisters

Idk mate, I think it's just a different flavours type deal imo. Like, the go with Cass path is kinda a banger, but you definitely come off more as a villain, and then the resist her/rebel path is also a banger and you're more of a typical hero type.
Both pretty great, couldn't personally identify either tho as "best"
(The below comment has reminded me that the red path exists, can't say anything about that one as I could never kill Cass. But it involves killing Cass....so I'm putting that one lower than the other two ngl...
)

Would say white path is more of on the good side, but you play the hand of a puppet/hero as the elves under aliana seems to put things in motion, you get to "fix cass". Futhermore, you get scenes with your chosen wife either aurora or isis
Green path or the cass path is more of a neutral side, you throw a coup against your father which frightens your mom and elin but you take over the council with cass and get to use her as a boogeyman. You learn more about why cass is doing this and you essentially screw both sides in the western civil war by bringing in the blackspear who kill anything. I feel like there is a constant back and forth over who is in control cass or you.
Finally the evil path, the red path, this can be achieved by agreeing to Cass coup and then killing her and becoming the second red emperor. That says it all.
Personally I like the green path as the best because its more neutral in a way and also you soften cass along the way. Although if LM expands the white path more, maybe it will be the best.

Is there a way to defeat cass's coup without calling the banners? I wondered if there was a way to remove her from her jail.
